Technical question: is there a way to determine how tight the hose clamps should be on the Stage-1 intake?

I put it on in cooler weather, now the silicone has expanded somewhat around the clamps in the heat. I don't want anything to crack, or leak.

It's not a boost pipe, it will only ever see negative pressures so you're golden basically as soon as it gets snug to the silicone.
Since you are tightening down around plastic that has a reasonably strong bead you don't need absurd clamping pressure.

Thanks for inquiring with us! Make sure the clamps are hand tightened securely, there are no particular torque specs for these just have to make them snug.
Also huge props to PRL for having really top notch liner clamps in their stage 1 and stock replacement IC piping kit!! Looks great and performs great too.
