My wife really wants a Hatch but insists on a manual trans. She absolutely won't buy a type R. I think in 2019 the only hatch manuals are Sport Hatch and R. I had read somewhere here that a manual higher trim level in the hatches will be available for 2020. Am I dreaming or will Honda offer an additional 6speed hatch for 2020 and if so, which trim levels? Thanks!

Yea after checking prices wow. Big jump for the Sport Touring. Makes the SI look like a real bargain. Maybe wait another year and see where they're being made. Maybe Alliston? She's pretty well set on a hatch but in no rush. She likes using my CBP SI Coupe but just thinks it a boy's car and wants her own white hatch. The hatches sure do look practical. A lot more room back there.

What's wrong with the 2019s? I'm sure there are dozens just sitting on the lot since no one drives manual anymore

Nothing wrong with 2019 Sport Hatch. They're pretty nice. Just she doesn't like the black cloth seats. Want Ivory interior and leather. Can't get that in 2019. Sweet that they're bringing back manuals in the Touring.

How difficult was the installation process on scale 1-10?

To give you an idea where I stand with my skills: I've never done seat work in the past, but experience-wise I have done all fluid exchange/flush, changed radiators, brake pads, O2 censors, spark plugs, belts, alternator exchange, water pump, thermostat, ...

Oh my, i certainly didn’t do it myself, i’ve wrapped my steering wheel but that’s about as fat as mu skills go lol

Katzkin has their shops and they install and give 3yrs/36K miles warranty. Great quality coated leather and very durable. Literally no wear on the seats after almost 40k on mine. Check them out, it really is a great option. And you can choose any color/combination you like

I have never traded in a car but this might make me think twice...6MT and heated seats/mirrors...hmmm...

Pretty sure if she sat in a white Sport Touring 6speed with Ivory seats that would be it. She'd want it. I'd think it would be up there among Honda's best XCivics. But yea, pricy.

The 2020 Sport hatch will probably get the upgrades that the Sport sedan got (Sensing, tweeters, Carplay deck and digital dash). Add Katzkin leather and you'll have a nice car.
