I'm guessing that the Ops got it all fixed and loving his car now. Loving it so much, he hasn't had time to post an update. It's usually when vehicle continues to have ongoing problems, the posts continues in search for a remedy. Let's hope this is the case.

Ive had my si for 2 months and under 3k miles. Ive had to go to the dealer ship twice to get this resolved.
According to the tech the reason that code is due to improper fueling... Not sure how some one can improper fuel.
he even gave me a quick demonstration on how to fuel... There is a small flap inside the fueling hole. When that is broken it will give you the emissions system code. Can anybody confirm if the update worked?

He's full of shit. There's literally one way to fuel a car lol.

I have a 18 Type R and was at the track Sunday and I got the same warning. The car jumped twice like fuel starvation then the Rev matching error light came on. I limped off the track. The sensor warning didn’t go off until after I refueled. Dropped it at the dealership first thing Monday and they said it was probably because of low fuel in the tank?? Seems odd to me that with a small tank you are going to have issues at a quarter tank. I’ll ask them tomorrow what the specific code was. Any one else have the problem on track. Btw it was only 80 degrees so it wasn’t a really hot day

I believe this is a known issue now with Honda. I got a letter from Honda about a month ago referring specifically to a emissions system error that could occur and that a software update was needed. I'm waiting for my next oil change to get it done, as it hasn't been an issue (yet) on my 2019 EX coupe.

It wasn't a full recall either, just a notice that it could be an issue on 2019 models. Biggest issue it listed was that the car could fail emissions tests because of the error, but Ohio doesn't do emissions tests like some states require.

My car an 18 Civic had an Emissions System Problem warning yesterday. I took it to the dealer today. They say I need a new filler neck. The part is on order, should be in next Tuesday.

Had this pop up a few hours ago, hopefully it's the same bug others have reported. Feel a bit paranoid right now though hopefully nothing happens before the dealership visit

So my 18 had two warning codes PO455/PO456 Large and small Evap leak. Failure of the cables.

They replaced the capless fuel filler under warranty.

All - I own a 2018 Si Civic Sedan 6-speed manual transmission. For 2 straight days my dashboard lit up. Indicators on the dash reflected a problem with my Emissions Indicator (same as photo above in 1st post), Power Brake System Indicator, Steering Wheel Indicator, Traction Control Indicator and Hill Climb Indicator were all ON. In addition, my "Sport Mode" indicator, which activates the turbo in my 1.5L engine was NOT working (inoperative). Every time I'd press the "Sport" mode button the dashboard would indicate the feature was "OFF". In addition, the radio stations on my car radio were switching on their own without me touching the screen or buttons.

I took the car into the dealership, since my vehicle is still under warranty. The Techs at the dealership contacted Honda Engineers. About 1 hour later they came back with a solution. Below is a summary of what the dealership found and repaired:

DEALERSHIP FOUND: numerous C/S warning indicators were ON. Sport Mode Inoperative. P0035 Turbo bypass control solenoid clear DTC recoded. Found Light Green Wire bypass valve broken.
SOLUTION: Replace Entire Engine Wire Harness, which is an organized set of wires, terminals and connectors that run throughout the vehicle and relay information and electric power, thereby playing a critical role in “connecting” a variety of components from the circuit box to the dashboard.

So, next time your Civic has similar issues have the Technicians inspect the Engine Wire Harness and the cars computer to determine if a software update is required. Good luck!

My emissions popped up at 3k went in for software update and 12767 miles later it pops up again. I do have a ktuner v2 but I doubt it would make it throw an emissions code. It's only a base map for the 2.0 that drops vtec engagement and throttle response

Emissions system problem turned on at around 8,700 miles. took to dealer and they initially stated it was some sort of stuck valve and it was covered under warranty. The ESP light turned on again and after further investigation the dealer stated a rodent allegedly had chewed through a hose on top of the gas tank. This type of damage would be difficult to find since it's under the back seat with an access cover. This type of damage is not covered under warranty. It will cost you around $1,000 to get fixed at the dealer. Your insurance company might cover it but you will have to pay a deductible. If rodent damage is true. how did it get on top of the gas tank under the back seat? SMDH.

I just got the light.

On Sunday, I flashed to the Phearable tune from TSP Stage 1 (I had done this before). I had weird errors this time around that I believe was related to my computer losing USB power or slightly mucking up the cable while trying to flash it, but I was able to get a successful flash out of it and no problem.

I hadn't driven since then, but tonight I was driving for about 20 minutes, was inside of a parking lot for five minutes (out of the car) with the engine running, and when I went back in the light was on.

For recent history's sake, I haven't driven this car close to hard really ever, and haven't even done past 5 PSI in like three weeks. I'm often actually driving with rev hang on right now because I am having throttle delay issues since installing my PRL IC and CAI (back in September). I'm going to check it out at some point, but I honestly have everything bolted down so much that I don't know what I'm going to find. I've also lately been using TORCO F500010TE Unleaded Fuel Accelerator with my fill-ups to achieve 93 octane, but I've been doing this essentially since September as well. None of that is to say that things can't get progressively worse within a few months though, of course.

I'll of course let this ride out a few days (no pun intended), and on my next fuel-up I'll go without the fuel accelerator... but I won't be filling up for another couple of weeks at the earliest.

The car has 22k miles on it and I've had it since December 2019. Because of all the mods, I'm sure my warranty is blown and can't take it to the dealer.
