Can I use this wheels and tires on my 16 civic sedan?
  • Size: 18X8.5"
  • Offset: +40
  • PCD: 5X114.3
  • Center Bore: 64.1mm
  • Lug Nut Spec: 21mm Hex, 14X1.50 Thread
  • Tire size: 235/45 R18
I know that civic uses 235/40 R18 and lug nuts are 12x1.5 will that be an issue?

Found a set for almost free and brand new

You can use those wheels and tires on your Civic. You will need to use 12x1.50 lug nuts. If the almost free package comes with 14x1.50, those won't work on the studs on the Civic.

With the 18x8.5 wheels and 40mm offset, you'll get more poke for a more flush look, but should have no issues with rubbing. The 235/45/18 tires will also have the speedo a bit off, but nothing major.

They certainly will fit but most tires shops will recommend not going taller or shorter by more than 3%. This combo will also raise your ride height a bit and slightly raise your gearing which will slightly lower acceleration if that matters to you.

Those wheels will work as long as you get the correct lug nuts.

No, you need the M12x1.5 lugnuts. I was under the impression that the new wheels that you were thinking of getting for cheap included M14x1.5 lugnuts, correct? Those M14x1.5 lugnuts won't work on the Civic studs.

Your current lugnuts would work, but you have the LX trim, which I thought had steelies for wheels with plastic wheel covers. Those usually just had basic lugnuts that would look like crap with new wheels.

If you currently have lugnuts like the ones I'm posting a picture of, then they will be fine unless your new wheels are black.

If the wheels are aftermarket, OEM lug nuts most likely won't work. You'd need conical "tuner" lug nuts.
