Had my first oil change (for this Civic) yesterday. Spent almost 3 hours loitering, snacking, and doing a few work in Honda's customer lounge until they finished the oil change. At USD65 for the oil, I hope I made it worth in Chamomile tea, toast, and Chinese-style buns
And when driving just now, I found out that the dealer forgot to secure the bottom engine cover. First time i exited the expressway, I heard a scraping noise. WTF is this - screw up already on the first oil change?

I already called the Honda call center and they will raise a ticket/case to Honda HQ (Thailand I suppose). Any advise from the community what else could have potentially be damaged? Should I wait for (supposedly Honda HQ) to call back tomorrow or should I rush to the dealer first thing in the morning?

I wish I have the skills to vinyl wrap. I am just worried that if I buy a wrap, that it would go to waste. I have bought some before for wrapping a camo for my airsoft, but never got around to putting it. Maybe I can practice on it first.
I started off with cheap Chinese wrap that normally sell $30-$40 for a 10' x 5' roll. Now that I'm a little more confident, I use the branded name like VVivid. The durability seems the same as far as fading. However, the MAJOR difference is pliability. Example: the cheap stuff require more effort to reposition once it makes contact. There's plenty of YouTube videos by CK Wrap that is very informative.

Tried to call them but they are closed. I had the oil change yesterday (Sunday) and did not drive much to get home.
I only heard it on my drive back today but by that time, the dealer is closed already. It is then when I called the call center.

Maybe because I was stuck in very slow traffic the whole trip in the morning, so It did not hit anything, or maybe it came unloose only when I was on the way back. I will post a picture in the edit, but I can still see the screws.

Besides the undershield/cover itself, any ideas what else could have been damaged? Anything that could have been pulled? At the moment, I don't trust that the dealer will be honest on the impact of this.

My apologies for being anal, but the car is just a few months old.

No drilling required, the dto spoiler uses tape. The Type R vortex one on top is from ABS Dynamics. Two big fins attach with bolt and tape, the small vortex generators use tape.

I would definitely go back to the dealer and make them fix/replace that underbody shield. I did that exact same thing when I changed the oil myself (nobody to blame but me). I searched for a new one and that part is over $100+ because you have to buy the entire underbody kit to get that aluminum piece. They don't sell it by itself. I ended up banging it back into shape with a hammer. You shouldn't have to do that though since the dealer screwed it up. I would make them fix it and raise hell if they refuse.

Good luck. Dealers are the worst.

Thanks! I will definitely ask them to replace the whole underbody kit as I am concerned that it might have pulled where the other screws are connected out of shape.

Thanks!

This is the exactly reason I do routine maintenance myself. Had a oil cap not being secured before, and never again.

As far as the belly pan, there's about 6 plastic screws that holds the pan on. Probably didnt secure it. If you have a ramp, it's easy to see what happened. Hope they own up to it. GL

Yeah that'd be cool I want a tractor trailer horn train might be too much for me lol
I'm more interested in the wiring and what type was used. If he/she's got an actual train horn installed then i'm more intrigued... where does it fit?

I hate the "meeeep" stock horns and need something that's a little more "GTFOMW you're about to hit me" sound to it, but definitely not train horn
