For my 40th birthday, I had the pleasure of renting a 911 Carrera 4S for the day. I love Porsche.... I would say they build my favorite cars and I've always dreamed of owning one. I think the new 718's and 911's are the most beautiful cars on the road today...

I picked up the car on Saturday, 6/22 at 10am and then returned it on Sunday morning, at 10am.

It was everything I hoped it would be and more. It had the PDK transmission, Sport Chrono Package with Sport Plus mode, Sport Exhaust, and Dynamic Chassis Control. This car was a screamer and it was awesome. I can't get that sound out of my head! The ride was not harsh, but extremely balanced and controlled. Brakes were incredible.

I must say, I wasn't blown away with the acceleration. I mean, it was fast as hell with 400hp and AWD, but it didn't shock me like I thought it would. Even still, it sounded soooo good and drove so well; I didn't care that it wasn't Z06 fast.

I'm pleasantly surprised to say that it didn't completely embarrass my Si as far as driving dynamics... I mean, yes, it was a hell of a lot better.. but I thought my car would feel like a turd after driving that 911 around for a day... but it didn't. I had plenty of fun on the way home after dropping off the Porsche and picking up my Si. Props to Honda for building a very fun and inexpensive car with amazing value.

A house nearby has one of these. It's a very nice looking car.

If it was a manual I doubt you'd want to get back in the Si lol

My goal is to buy one within the next 5 years.
My brother owns a 15' F-Type R. That beast is a pleasure to drive, though the Porche is much more luxurious. I have not driven a Porche yet, but they do seem fun to drive. Good luck on fulfilling your dreams, all it takes is a little will-power and a little budgeting!

I got a chance to drive a 2015 Porsche 4S last month. It was a manual. I was disappointed in it. The shifting didn't feel much better than my Si and the ride was too soft. I did like the exhaust sound though. I still like my Si with CTR clutch and TSP Stage 2 tune.

Porsche and Honda / just going for a ride on the Sport Touring bike makes the car seem like a dog.

Very pretty! My neighbor has a Caymen he said he's willing to let me drive, but I haven't yet. Porsche, as I grew up, was always my top pick, but I've never driven one. Now I don't know. The Porsche romance for me has died some. If I had a crapload of money tomorrow I don't know what I'd get.

I have never driven a 911. The Civic Sport holds up well for daily driving compared to my '07 Cayman. Save yourself 5 years and consider a used Cayman.
