I would kindly like to disagree with those who were upset with ctrmofo's post. I actually didn't see his post as "flexing" at all. What I got from it was that you should do your research and know what you want before you make a purchase. When he mentions his "1 of 20 GRP exhaust" in his post, I took it as him elaborating that it's exactly what he wanted and that he was able to acquire it within its limited run period. Because he knew what he was looking for. Also, his mention of his "fk8 product review group" further illustrates his point and it has very insightful product reviews when it comes to the numerous parts available for us CTR owners; and this helps us to make informed decisions so we can avoid making the costly mistakes that the OP is referring to.
In the end, everyone has their preferences. Some may say the NVH from the rear engine mount upgrade is too much but if you prefer the feedback you get from that upgrade and you're willing to deal with the NVH, disregard their opinion and go for the upgrade. Just know what you're getting yourself into. Most people will say their upgrade is "perfect" and I wouldn't discount that that's the way they really feel, people usually try to justify to themselves that their choice is the best choice but you need to make an informed decision for yourself so you don't end up with buyer's remorse. Even so, it will happen from time to time, it's best to take ownership for the decision and make the necessary changes so you will be happy with the outcome in the end.
