Since I have an earlier version of Honda Hack installed on my head unit, should I uninstall the existing version off the head unit and then reinstall with the latest? Also do I need to obtain a new access code from Honda Hack? Software has never been my best friend... Thanks...

Negative. I had a VERY old version... I installed it when I got the car 28,000 miles ago. I simply went into the Honda Hack app and updated it from within the software itself. A single click and it took about 2/3 minutes to complete after a reboot.

Made some of my own startup trailers. Need to be MP4 files and should be no more than 10-15 seconds max. Save to USB stick and go into Startup menu and select the video file to preview or use.

This update is fun!

Does this work on the 2019? Honda locked it out of the 2019 Honda Ridgelines and working with the developer, he never got it working on my Ridgeline.

IM not really sure why Hondahack offers basic and pro to start with. They only update the pro and only pro has the features you want so. Then trying to upgrade from basic to pro is a bit of a process and its not 10 dollars according to the Hondahack screen in the car it is 18 dollars which them makes it more then pro. Plus his site has no option for upgrading just full basic or full pro thats it. Its good software but man he needs to work on the sales of it. Just offer one version and be done with it if thats all your gonna offer updates to anyway. If you haven't got Hondahack yet and are going too. Just get the pro and save yourself some headaches.

I got my update done tonight. My Tuner view stopped connecting after the update but I have been having that issue a lot. I think I need to uninstall it and reload it. I got a fun startup video now and it just makes me want to romp on it right out of the gate. I didn't get to mess with it much because it was hot out in Pennsylvania. I can't wait to get my hot buttons setup too.Thanks for letting me know about this update .

Just FYI if you have basic and want to upgrade it is 18 dollars not 10 like in the original post. I have been emailing hondahack asking why it is 18 to upgrade instead of 15. you pay 10 for basic and pro is 25 so upgrading should be 15 right? But I am guessing there is a language barrier as the person answering is not being very clear and not answering any questions just keeps sending me a link to paypal for 18 dollars and saying the package is 25???? not sure what they are talking about. I am assuming they mean the pro is 25 yes I know so not sure why its 18 to upgrade from 10 dollar basic.

Anyway if you are gonna hondahack just get pro to start with save yourself the headache. Also basic is 10 dollars not 15 so the original post has some errors in it.

I think what they're doing is offering the upgrade at a discount. If you buy the pro initially is $25 or basic is $10. If you want the pro after already having the basic you'd still need to pay the $25 for the pro but hes offering the pro for $18 instead of $25 since you already paid them something. It not just you can pay the difference to get the pro. Kinda shitty but they kinda have the market cornered on this it seems....

I like the new rear camera toggle feature, however, it freezes and I have to force a reboot of my headunit :-(

I sent him emails back and forth. basically hes dinging you 3 extra bucks for not getting the pro to start with. If you just buy pro its 25 if you buy basic and then upgrade to pro later it cost you total of 28 dollars. I dont really agree with that but like you said what ya gonna do? But at the end of the day the upgrade is 18 if you already have basic not 10 like in the original post.

Go into the update and update again hes already updated again since this post. version is now 5.0.10 sot sure what changed from 5.0.5 just the other day to 5.0.10 but... Unless you already have 5.0.10
