Potentially a new CTR owner

A little background is in order. I have owned over 50 cars in the last 15 years. I get bored easy and trade up often. However, I need to stop this and just enjoy the car I get. I have owned a wide range of cars from a Lotus Elise S2000, Mustangs, GTOs, and several Miatas. I always modify my cars as I do enjoy working on them. So, do I go with just a CTR, or get two cars and get the GTI and the Miata?

I would suggest to find one at or below MSRP. I love mine but I wouldn’t pay the mark up
Once you drive it you might consider dropping a wheel size or two.

Would really appreciate it.
I'm just over in SC where the roads are pretty horrible.
The stock wheels and tires scare the hell out of me (but damn they do look good don't they?)
Hoping to swap the stock rubber for some R compounds on the stock wheels for track days and get a set of more road friendly tires and wheels for around town.

Again, that is crazy, I would have never been willing to buy a CTR that had been test driven. Hard to believe the dealership saying they sold it to someone else after you test drove it. Then again, if they were asking under MSRP, I guess that makes sense, but still hard to believe. Folks still pay over MSRP on used CTRs (insert Carmax and Carvana here).

After 2 mistakes, I would trust everything this manager says. Did they tell you how long will it take them to get another one? I would shop around while waiting. Also, why GTI and Miata vs. 1 CTR? They're in the same price range. I had a GTI MK6. I loved it when I was concerned about its long term reliability.
