Wanting to link the Honda OEM Remote Engine Start System II Transmitter Key Fob to my 2017 Honda Civic Touring Sedan in order to gain the LCD temperature readout.
Has anyone else had any luck with this? My local dealership is trying to tell me it’s not possible...
They "tried" to program it (and charged me $65), but said the computer wouldn't let them and that I'd have to remove the current harness and replace it with an entire new system, which they aren't will to do anyways, AND I'd lose proximity unlock. I don't understand why this OEM transmitter, available as a certified accessory for my trim, can't just be added on.
