You use your hand or a vise grips?
I was surprised with the rear, it was easier than usual from other hondas...turned quite easily, but I had to get it going by using then pliers...I just positioned it on there so where I could get the leverage to turn it. Once it started turning, it went super fast.

I’ve been to the track a couple times and I now have 13K kilometers (i’m Canadian) and my brake pads are not even down 30% so still 70% good , dealers see Brembo and will try to sell you $250 pads that they pay $60.
Only problem is the squealing at low pressure but it was doing it brand new out of dealership.
They made me laugh by telling me it was because of the ceramic brakes!!!
I had big rigs since I can drive (i’m 52) and I would invest in ceramic brakes to stop the squealing on those, the problem comes from the metallic compound mixed with the ceramic, i’m Trying Carbon fiber/ ceramic pads next week and I think the squealing should stop. I cost me $112,00 usd for front and rear pads together with grease ,hardware and shipping included.
Will report results to you
Told you guys I would give feedback on new carbon fiber/ceramic brakes, made a mistake an ordered carbon fiber/ metallic and was still squealing like hell, got the good ones this time carbon fiber/ceramic and I love my new pads, no squealing at all they brake way better and they get cold faster??
So if your dealership tells you it’s because of the ceramic you can tell en to go to hell

Little update on my Hawk pads...after a few thousand miles, they have this light squeak when going slow, like rolling up to a light, etc. And as you start to go, you hear it squeaking. Not sure why they are doing this, but it almost feels more embarrassing than it did with the OEM pads...I mean, if I'm not on the brakes, why am I getting the squeaking sound lol.

I'm hoping after a few more miles it will go away, I noticed hawk's pads flare up at the tip/ends...I have a feeling it may be just that, coming close to the brake now and lightly making that squeak

Sorry to hear that man and hope it clears up soon. Thank you for sharing. I hate brake squeaking.
I had a rock stuck in one of my brakes and it was the absolute worst grinding noise I’ve ever heard. It was horrible and totally embarrassing driving the car in that condition. I’m considering picking up an ez carlift to be able to work on brakes etc without damaging the car.

yeah, it's not that bad...just strange to hear...it's not like that rock in the brake sound...it's real faint...like a rusty squeak sound lol.

I noticed it happens usually after a rain or wash

Any suggestions on where to buy the pads? Sponsors for the site would be good if available.

Here are my stock OEM rear brakes at 22k miles. All daily driving miles with no track.

Wow that’s crazy. I just checked mine after 26k and they look almost new. I should’ve took some pictures to post. That’s just odd that they would wear that fast

Honda Civic 10th gen Replace the front/rear pads after 14k miles? B52E4337-C103-41BF-A520-2C2D584A4904
Hawk pads from tire rack great close out deal on the HPS fronts. Rears has ony 3 mm left at only 12.5k mi. Nice to not deal with excessive brake dust. Good street pads.
Any suggestions on where to buy the pads? Sponsors for the site would be good if available.

The rear disk rotor didn’t fair very well either. A deep lip was noticed. It was very uneven when placed on a lathe to be re-surfaced.
