So I am meaning to wrap my hood with carbon fiber vinyl. I'm torn between glossy and matte finish. So just wanted to see what's the popular choice of the people here. You can state your reason too why you chose one over the other. THANKS!

I do like both, but there is just something about glossed carbon fiber that looks nicer in my opinion. Though the matte on the hood would look great as well. I don’t think you can really go wrong.

Generally, I prefer gloss carbon as well but matte could look really good on the hood and give a nice to contrast the shiny paint and grille.

Tough call.. As mentioned, both can look great. Given the amount of glossy plastic on the front of an Si, would the gloss carbon match? would it look awkward being a little off? or would a clear difference of the Matte be easier to tolerate..

Depends on where it is but on the hood I think matte would look sweet.

I think that Matte on the hood would help hide chips and small flaws ...
Plus, I think the look will hold up to the engine heat better than the gloss ...
Just my $0.02

IMO matte anything looks like primer and you're still saving up for the real paint job.

I personally would have to go with gloss carbon on my car solely because my car is black and I feel matte might look a little cheap! I attached a photo of a car with the Seibon gloss carbon hood and it looks amazing!!
