Hi all. I'm experiencing some massively terrible buzzing from my right tweeter (on the upper part of the door by the window) when I hit 4K RPM and above. If I press on it, it goes away. I want to take the tweeter off and add foam tape to try and eliminate this. Does anyone know how I can do this?

If I remember right, you have to remove the door panel. Then the sail panel can be popped off using a trim removal tool.

Yikes, that's what I was afraid of. As I recall, removing the door panel is a big job, no?

It's not too bad if you have panel removal tools. The hardest part is getting the switch control panels off without breaking some of the clips.

Do you know of a write up that I can reference?

I don't know any off hand, but maybe something in the do it yourself/guides sub forum. I think there are some you tube videos as well. Also check the audio sub forum.

I wonder if I'm having the same issue as you. Around 4100 rpm, i get a constant and more pronounced buzzing. Under 4k RPM, I get faint buzzing or static-like noise that is on and off but noticeable. Is this what you are experiencing? I'm also getting it from the front passenger side. Seems like it comes from the door speakers? I'm unsure of what the issue is and will be bringing it to a shop to take a look at. But, curious to see if it is actually the tweeter you mentioned since I could probably tell the shop what I think it is and they can fix it.

Also, I don't get any sounds/buzzing at a stop. Maybe once I get past 15mph on the move. Btw, this only happened recently as at the 4500 mile mark. I haven't experienced this before.

I'm my case, the speaker is vibrating. Over 4K, it gets violent enough to make contact with the surrounding plastic and make a loud buzzing sound. If I have a passenger press on the tweeter, it stops.

Yup, I think I have the same issue. I was lightly hitting the passenger door just palming it to create some vibration and isolated it to the tweeter. The metal mesh was a bit loose. I kind of turned/pushed it in and it seems seated now without much room for movement. I drove around a bit and the buzzing was gone.
