You want to take your time and space it evenly on the rear deck lid. And only press the corners with a little pressure at first so you can remove it if it's not centered. Also make sure you clean the mounting spot so adhesion is good!Late to the thread but liking the look of the spoiler. @CVCTURBO I know it's a fairly straightforward install, but can you offer any advice on putting it on? Thanks.
Do you happen to have a link to the tape you used?I personally never use any provided tape. I just bought 3m doubled sided tape that's made to be weather proof. Been holding up perfectly fine
Just to add on to this. I used the little lip it has to brace against before I stuck the tape. You want to take your time and space it evenly on the rear deck lid. Hey, I just installed this very same spoiler that I got off Amazon... It's very easy to install and looks great, imho.I know this is an older thread but I was curious if you guys bought this spoiler off of amazon? I found one for $100 on there and want to make sure its legit. ALSO, for those of you considering the type r replica wing on the hatch, thought I'd let you guys know that I had it installed on my civic hatch and have decided to take it off because the middle portion of the wing shakes a LOT in the wind when going high speeds. I make 300 mile trips and this really worries me especially when I am going 80 mph and up. I had it professionally installed too, the plastic is just too weak to hold up with the wind speeds. Just thought I could let you guys know. I'd appreciate any more info with the duck bill spoiler.
So I actually parted my car out, sold everything to fund another build. Decided I missed the wing and ordered another one off eBay painted for $88. Same quality and fit perfectI know this is an older thread but I was curious if you guys bought this spoiler off of amazon? I found one for $100 on there and want to make sure its legit. I honestly haven't seen a carbon fiber version on the bay or amazon... But the painted version matches the existing spoiler almost perfectly that unless you look really close, it looks one piece. I like that it looks seamless. The carbon fiber style, I'm sure would look cool, too, though.Has anyone ever bought the carbon fiber version of that duck bill?
