So I’m looking at buying some lightly used enkei TS-9 wheels and tires off a bloke.

The specs are 18x8.5 50mm offset
Also come with 255/45R18 tires already mounted.

Forgot to add I’m running completely stock other than a tune atm.

So will this setup rub at all? I know it’s slightly bigger than the stock setup but I don’t know how much margin there is for a bigger tire.

Anyone running something similar?

Just want to make sure it’s all good before I pull the trigger.

Thanks,
A2

The 8.5" width and 50mm offset of the wheels are no issue at all. Great choice. The tire size on the other hand, could be a problem. They are way larger diameter than stock... 27 inches tall (6.3% taller). The general rule of thumb is no more than + or - 3%.

Ok thanks, I have another set of tires 225/40/R18 that I could put on.

The guy had them mounted on his mustang.

Thanks for the information.

So the tires mounted won’t fit 100% right?

I don’t want to pay to dismount the wheels and tires and find out it would work.

What is the largest sized tire that can fit and not rub?

Thanks

So I was wrong the offset of the wheels isn’t 50.

It’s 35mm

Not sure if that changes anything.

Thanks

+35 will work but NOT with the 255 twidth and taller tire size. the 225 will work but just sell the tires that don't work and get the right size. Tire is the only contact your car has with the road and you should invest in decent tires. Especially for your less than 3 year old car! #oldmanrant

Also, check hub bore size, if it doesn't match Honda, get a hubcentric rings, and make sure you use the right style of lug nut for the aftermarket wheel (stock probably wont work)

Yeah I’m gonna sell the tires, guy gave me a pretty solid deal considering the wheels tires have under 5000 miles of use.

Good to hear about the setup fitting that’s all I needed to know.

So I had the 225/40/18 installed and about 5-10mm of the wheel is poking out from around the tire.

Due to our insanely crappy road conditions I’m MI I know that this will shred these wheels in a matter of weeks.

Will 245/40/R18 work that’s what I’m leaning towards.

Thanks

That should fit great. You'll be just slightly off on the speedo (1% slow), poke out just a bit more, and reduce the fender gap a hair. Should be really nice.

I have 245/40/R18 on my 18x8.5 +38mm wheels. Once I bent the Fender tab in, they don't rub at stock height. I got this size because I want to see if they rub when I get Eibach prokit springs. Yours is 3mm outboard of mine so if your not planning on lowering, you'll be fine. If you go lower, I think a lot of people run stock tire size on your setup without problems. Another solution for lowering would be 255/35/18 but I don't want to make the ride harsher with lower sidewall.

Actually his wheel is 50mm offset versus yours at 38mm. At stock height I'd guarantee no rubbing and fender bending.
