Hello!

I've been looking at the Civic for a few weeks now and I have it down to either the Si Sedan or Sport HB. I really wish there was an Si HB as that would be it right there. I definitely want a stick shift and would really like to have Apple Carplay. Is Carplay an option in the Sport?

I like that the Sport has the driver assist features and I didn't see those on the Si as much. One of the reasons for looking at the Civic is I need a vehicle that I can commute back and forth to the office which is once or twice a month. I work from home the rest of the month and it's one of the reasons we sold the truck we had because we have my wife's SUV that I can take when I go to the office. Another reason we are looking is my daughter turns 11 this year but I'm thinking long term for when she turns 16 and starts driving. I'd like to get this and have it paid off well before that date and would want her to drive something that is safe and reliable. The stick shift is a must because I want it, and I want to teach her how to drive it when she gets older, and it should be a good deterrent to keep her friends from wanting to drive it. :)

I really like the blue color that Honda has. Is there a such thing as a Civic Sport HB in blue with the stick shift and Carplay?

Thank you!

I have a 2017 Blue Hatchback Sport with CVT. The Hatchback sport exterior has extras but a LX interior. It has the base radio and 4 speakers. No Carplay unless you add an aftermarket radio or a dongle to add carplay. I love my hatchback even though it has a CVT. The 2020 Sport Touring will have a stick shift option. I do not have any of the Honda Sensing but I do love the fact I have a car that has a bit more broom, broom but I do wish it had carplay.

I debated between the Si and a Sport Hatch. Ultimately, the features in the Si were more desirable to me (HP, Suspension, Sunroof, LSD). Plus the gauge cluster looked better and no actual pointy key, just a convenient FOB.

I thought the Sport HB couldn't have the upgraded radio with Apple CarPlay?

If this one was the Aegean Blue I'd be all over it.
The car you linked is strange. A Sport HB isn't available with the upgraded radio. The pictures also show pushbutton start, and the instrument cluster form the higher trim hatchs as well. If it was a Sport Touring it would have all of that, but it appears to have cloth seats, and the price is to low for it to be a Sport Touring.

I looked at this and it almost seems like they confused the Hatchback Sport interior with the Sedan Sport trim level.
Makes sense. Perhaps they have taken pics of the exact car for the exterior shots, but then recycle interior shots, but then mistakenly used the Sport sedan 6MT pics.

I wish the HB Sport had pushbutton start and a sunroof. I would change the radio out for an aftermarket setup anyway, so no problem there. The Sport Touring trim has a lot of stuff I really don't want, just to get a couple of things I do want.

I was in your position, it was either the Si, HB Sport, or the HB Sport Touring. I opted for the 2019 Si. The HB Sport was nice, but came with LX interior and the HB Sport Touring was too expensive. The Si felt like a proper "compromise" between features, performance and price. While I wish I still got a hatchback, I am definitely not regretting my decision going for an Si. The LSD, upgraded stereo, and active suspension was worthwhile.

Keep in mind, I had a 2016 Sedan EX-T before this new Si.
