Hi everyone, I'm looking to install the lip below on my Sport Hatch and I'm reading that this lip and many other l lips do not fit the Sport due to the factory lip. My question is can I simply remove the factory lip to install this in its place or is there some other difference between the Sport and Non Sport front bumpers that causes this to not fit? Thanks for the guidance!

That is a sport hatch in the pic. As long as you remove the stock lip I see no reason why it wouldn't fit. I plan on getting one of those myself too actually.

You can't remove the stock lip because it's an extension from the bumper lower cover. The ebay front lip will, however, wrap around the tiny little lip with no issues.

I have purchased this bumper lip and had my sport hatch on the ramp for fitting it. I can honestly say it will not work. The curve of the edges do not run with the curves of the existing sport bumper lip, it would look terrible. Also you cant remove the bottom bumper lip as it is all joined to the bumper and the mesh that protects the intercooler. Best chance would be the mugen one but yet again im not sure if that one works with the sport bumper!

Hope this helps.

The FK7 in Japan looks exactly like the Sport, and I don’t think Mugen will piss their home-base customers.
