I got a speeding ticket today. First ticket in 9yrs, first in CO (last was in CA) guy gave me a break. Clocked me doing 68 in a 55, he was right I was doing 68 lol I cooperated and was honest. Asked me why I was going so fast and I flat out said, I have a heavy foot. He took my license and registration and came back. He said instead of 4 points and 180 bucks he knocked it to 1 point and 80 dollars because I was honest and cooperative. I wasn't gonna try to get out of it, I was speeding. He was nice. Then a few miles up the road a BMW zooms by me and gave me a thumbs up as he weaved through the traffic ahead of me. I'm not even mad hahha I was expecting to get a ticket at some point in this car.
I fell ya, no tickets in 20 years . First week I had the R I got a reckless driving. I was coming out of tenn into NC and a trooper was parked over state line on a blind corner on a downhill mountain pass. bet he busts them left and right there. Said I was doing 85 in a 65 so was a reckless... what ever. Lawyer and no points or anything was dismissed. Lawyer said reckless and speeding are two different things so I guess thats how he got it dismissed.

Oh wow, where I am, slow drivers do 70 in a 55 :p Cop won't pull you until you're at like 80+ and you probably have to add weaving into the equation.

Honestly i thought I was going with traffic, everyone around me had about a half to 1 car gap in front of them and it was all moving smoothly. Even the guy in front of me started pulling over, he was going just as fast as I was. I guess out of everyone I got chosen perhaps? I wonder whyyyyyyy hahahah! Probably expected to see some kid and got a 32 yr old lady pfffff

Were you the last of the pack (easier and safer to pull the car in the back)? And did you hit the brake pedal (this basically tells the cop that you're braking because you were going too fast vs the car in front was slowing down)? If your car doesn't have a stock exhaust that could also make it worse. But it's really unfair, but that's life. To be honest, if you were going with the flow of traffic, the speed limit is set too low (like with most speed limits in America).

Installed Cusco RMM today. It was actually a simple install. It took longer to jack the car up and get under it. So far I highly recommend. The vibration isn't bad. Off the start it's a little rough but it can be corrected by slightly revving higher. There also is a little bit at the 4000 rpm range but it goes away fast. It saved me 3000 bucks since it sounds perfect in the car for me and don't need a exhaust now. Special thanks to ToddRhodes for the suggestion.

Also rotated and waxed the wheels.
The car is extra frisky now! :)

Next up is my RV6 ceramic coated FP which should be here in 2-3 weeks.

I don't think I was last, it felt like everyone was going about the same speed and the only reason why I started braking was cause the guy in front of me was braking and starting to pull over so I followed his lead. Then he probably realized I was between him and the cop and he took off. And that would make sense the limit being too low. The few minutes I was pulled over we saw 4 other cops go by.

They probably got everyone then. Might have been some sort of sting/setup. Do the police in your state have quotas (we are hitting mid month)?

Installed new ceramic brake pads. Install was pretty quick and easy. Decided to swap my gold wheels back on from the stock wheels (I missed the extra sidewall)

The pads seem good. Very quiet, compared to oem. So far under normal driving, they perform well and can’t tell the difference from the oem. I’m sure under hard braking, these won’t have as much bite. But I look forward to no more squeaks and insane brake dust!
