I have an FK8 Type-R and was really set on getting a set of Advan GT wheels. I had been told by a few vendors that these will fit with no problems clearing the Brembos; however, I was just recently told by a different vendor that they were 100% sure they will not.

Anybody here have first-hand experience? Or would any vendors be willing to grab a set (if they happen to have them) and do a test-fit to answer this for sure, one way or the other?

Fitmentindustries.com can tell you after you put your vehicle information in. It will tell you the recommended sizes, offsets, and etc that you can play around with without having to do any fender/exterior modifications!

Thanks for the info!

The only thing that still kinda worries me is the fact that the vendor who said these wheels won’t fit said that it is because of the shape / design of these specific wheels; that the spokes are shaped in such a way that they won’t clear the brake calipers. The info I’ve seen regarding wheel fitment seem to be general fitment guides using offset + size (width) specs only, while not taking into consideration that each specific wheel may fit slightly differently...

Why not go with Works? or another brand besides Advan?
