Software update while tuned?

Had a free oil change coupon so I figured I'd save myself the money and trouble.

While the dealership was servicing the car they found I needed some sort of software update.

I'm still running Vits stage 1 Si tune. Am I going to run into any issues?

They already started before telling me since it is a warranty covered item.

Your tune might be lost. You’ll probably need to reflash after the work.

ideally you should have gone back to stock when taking it in to the dealer. I have that update coming up also and I flashed back to stock. Sucks to go around without a tune for a few weeks while finding time to go to dealer.

I would have totally gone back stock before coming had I known I needed the update. I checked my VIN a while ago and it said my car did not need it.

Looks like my tune is back stock as boost is 16ish pounds. What do I do now?

Just reflash? How do I know that its fully back stock?

I had the same thing happen to me today while getting state inspected. My Ktuner barely works anymore... it takes forever to reflash if it even will work. Does anyone know if the software update will delete the tune for sure?

Just reflash back to your Vit tune. It doesn't matter if you're on stock or not right now, reflashing will override whatever is there.
