I am thinking of swapping the factory Sport Hatchback front seats for 10th-Gen Si seats, just wondering if anyone has tried to do this yet, or have any feedback/information they would like to share?

Looking for some seats with better bolstering, while retaining side airbags, and heated seat feature -- factory Si seats fills in those check boxes. I have test drove a Si Coupe, and sat in the front passenger seat of a Si Sedan before (friend of mine used to own a '17 Si), and they are pretty comfortable.

Both the Hatchback Sport and Si seats are just regular on-rails, and not power seats, so I am *assuming* it should be just an easy swap?

Any input?

Thanks!

I've been considering doing the reverse of this swap, or putting in a thinner race seat in place of the drivers side. I'm a tall guy and want a slimmer profile seat to gain some more head room. Been wondering if our rails and mounting positions are shared by the type r as well because there's a lot of seat options for those

Are the Type-R seats lower?
From the looks of it, it seems as if they are even higher.

I think they are shared with the Type-R...don't quote me on that, though.

the Si seats are higher than my 2016 EXT seats, when I was at the LA car show and sat in the Type-R, they seemed about the same height as the EXT seats.

I'd assume the seats would swap fine, but I'm wondering if the sensors for the airbags are different among the trims and may/may not throw codes when they're plugged in.

I wasn't necessarily thinking type r seats directly, more so after market seat options designed for the type r. But also from what I've seen Syntek is right the ctr seats are shorter than the Si, they don't have heating and are designed to be more rigid

I have si seats currently in my sport hatch but leathered wrap. It’s nice, seating doesn’t seem changed much as in height wise. The sensors plugs were changed over to accommodate the correct plugs but my srs lights are still on. I do love the si seats much better than the regular sports seats due to higher leg and side bolsters. U can’t go wrong with the seats.

The sensor plugs were different most likely due to the heated seat options the si had but if u were to trace it down, everything could be swapped over but again the light won’t go away.

I just picked up some CTR seats and will be placing it in with my hatch, was told the ctr is straight plug n play without any Srs issues.

Which means my SI seats might be up for grabs if the right buyer comes along!

Keep me posted on the Type-R seats!

Did the Si seats come assembled, or did you have to put them together...and how much did it cost you?
A close friend of mine did some digging around, and told me that if I were to order the Si seats, they DON'T come assembled, but in pieces.
I would need to assemble them myself, or get someone (e.g. local dealership) to do it -- the seats are assembled on the assembly line, and not prepared ahead of time.
He did mention the difference with the electrical connections though (e.g. heated seat).

Did it work?

Anyone ever get this to work without srs light? I have 18 ex cheated seats and want to install 19 si heated seats. Will this work, no codes?

Doesn’t mean as much now with the Type R out though, but he’s going for OEM bolstered seats.. it’s not like he’s slapping Si decals on the outside lol

But the answer to your question... to remove SRS lights after installing Si seats if you have any is
https://www.evasivemotorsports.com/store/product/bride-air-bag-seat-canceller-20-ohms/
I would imaging it would be easy to splice the wires. Your car didn’t come with heated seats so you’d have no issue with the other connector. Now if your car had heated seats I’d imagine it’s still no issue as it’s not a safety thing so no lights would turn on. If the SRS light comes on then you would need it reset with a code reader that can do SRS codes or try disconnecting the battery for 20min that use to work back in the day (doubt it would with modern cars though). But if the SRS light comes on remember In some instances the airbags won’t deploy in the event of an accident with SRS lights on, depending how they design the SRS to function

2018 ex hatchback. Has heated seats. Want to swap in 2019 si seats that are also heated. Dont want any lights. Want airbags to work. Is this possible?
