so in the rear, it's just plastic as far as that fender part that is painted...I'm used to it being metal. When I went to check, it didn't feel like metal...is that what you cut? The plastic inner part of the fender that is painted...or just the black part after that

Yes the flared part of the arch (painted bit) is plastic, all I did was drive around for a few days in comfort to let it rub. Jacked the car up and you could see where it was rubbing, trimmed the plastic arch (inside so isn’t visible) hey presto. No extreme arch work or cutting metal or arch liners. Everything is 100% intact, only need to trim about 2mm off if that. I’ve done 2 track days since both of which have fast dipping corners that fully load the suspension up and not a single bit of rubbing

My other hatch sport is also rubbing abit.
It is lowered for 2"..
My ps4s was being eaten by my fender.. i adjust negative camber abit.. it helps but still run on fast cornering

Is there any hole after u trim it? Or the plastic is actually thick enough?
... the tires has light mark showing now but at least not being eaten anymore

Awesome man, thanks for the info. I had a feeling that was how it was. I just ordered a camber kit for no reason then, lol. Guess I'll be selling it after I test out the trimming. I'm running 18x9.5 with 35 offset and 265/35 tires, so it rubs just a tad...and I could tell it was a tire against plastic sound type of rub, not against metal sound.

Nope no holes as its only the over arch, the arch liner connect to the metal part of the arch which is quite high up the arch

wouldn't say it's a waste. It's nice to be able to dial in the camber and have it equal left to right.

No worries, if it rubs in the front it could be rubbing on the little metal tab. if you look at the front wheel face on and imagine a clock face, at around 2 o'clock is a screw that attaches the arch liner to a little metal tab. If you undo the screw you can fold the tab upwards ( screw can no longer be used) and then tuck the arch liner behind the folded up part of the tab. Means the arch cant flap around and the tab can always be bent back down and liner screwed back in if you wish.

yeah, I know where you're talking about. I haven't heard it rub up in front yet...just the rear.

I just ordered a set of Swift springs, but I’d like to confirm these are the correct CTR specific springs. All the images I find online are black without numbers on them.

have you guys had any experience with spoon springs with a wheel spec: 19x9.5+38 with 265/30/19 tires? any rubbing?
I am running Swift springs on 19x9.5 +38 GramLights with 255/35/19's and -2 camber all around. I was rubbing front and rear. The front wasn't horrible, but I went ahead and trimmed the liner a bit and completely cut off the little tab where it was rubbing. The rear was rubbing really bad with just me in the car over the slightest of bumps/dips, I can't imagine how it would've been with passengers or cargo. So, I removed the rear over fender, trimmed the plastic edge and cut the metal. No more rubbing at all, no matter how hard I drive or how many passengers I have. I love it!

Yeah i believe the swifts drop the car even more than the spoons. Thanks for the info that helps!

Hi!

im a new member here, been browsing for a while though.
I was wondering if i would get any rubbing with the Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs.
Does any1 have any ecperience with these on the FK8?
I had Eibach springs on my Del Sol back in the day and was super happy with their performance.

Wheel setup is Work Emotion M8R 18x9,5 +38 wrapped with Toyo R888R 265 35.

The reason id go for the Eibach is because i can get them with the correct paperwork so i can legally lower my FK8, I'm from Belgium, our laws are way too uptight when it comes to car modifications
