there's been posts about how you need spring silencers...spoon finally admitted to it...should be within this post somewhere
It's very minor. I just needed the springs for the time being since I still think wheels in stock ride height looks weird. Saving up for a good coilovers in the future. Eventually these shocks will give sooner than stock springs.

So do y’all thinks I could run Swift’s and a 265/40/18?
no, you will rub like no tomorrow. already proven.

even if you use 9.5" wide wheels with +45mm offset we recommend you will rub.

first time ever, we have a full detailed review of swift springs by one of our resident expert members. good info if you're considering swift springs.

note, as i've said it before and if you run wheels at least 9.5" and less than +45et with 265/35/18 tires - you WILL rub. anyone who says no rubbing with those minimal specs are BS'ing. ride is of course subjective to individual drivers.

also note the increase in understeer and fighting the front end with swift springs. as with any suspension tuning, everything works in concert - always. you can't simplet touch one thing and not expect something else to change. it's a system and the sum is greater than its parts.

we also have a full review of eibach pro kit springs also. again, with any wheels wider than 9.5" and less than +45et with 265/35/18 tires - rubbing is a potential issue. we also took measurements of various tire width and tread width to compare what works and doesn't work. note that spoon springs are very similar to eibach pro kit springs with one exception - spoon is progressive spring design all 4 corners vs. eibach pro kit which is linear front and progressive rear.

When are you planning to install + review the Sportlines? Waiting on your review before pulling the trigger...

nada, haven't seen anyone use them yet...do you know their specs yet?
  • Lowers by : -25 mm (front) & -25 mm (rear)
  • Spring rate : 5,3 kgF/mm (front) & 4,8 kgF/mm (rear)
I think if I decide on springs, I will chose Tein. They also have now two coilovers available.

thinking to lower my ctr... got a set of wheel 20 x 8.5" ET34 with 245/35/20 tires

what spring should I go with that has no rub and will lower the ride height decently?
I have 35 sidewall on my tires so the car sit even higher now on stock suspension..

Anyone know if there is rubbing issues wit +38 with a 255 tire on swift springs? Thought I seen it but now I cant find it lol
I'm running swift springs with 18x9.5 et36 wheels and 255/35 AD08r's. Very slight rubbing front and back on hard fast corners. I folded the front tabs up as they were just catching and trimmed the rear over fenders with a knife as again they were just catching. No rubbing or arch liners or anything metal though

so I had 35 sidewall on my stock wheels and lowered on spoon and the wheels tucked in there lol
Since you have a 34 offset, I'm compelled to think they will rub...I could be wrong though

so in the rear, it's just plastic as far as that fender part that is painted...I'm used to it being metal. When I went to check, it didn't feel like metal...is that what you cut? The plastic inner part of the fender that is painted...or just the black part after that

How much drops spoon spring gives??

I am thinking to have it alittle lower to cancel wheel gap about the fender but avoid rub issue..
