What's up Civic people.

Title says it all, but I am looking for trustworthy mechanics around Centreville area in Virginia.
(Centreville, Fairfax, Woodbridge, Annandale, etc.)

Looking to find a good shop in my area and then just take my new civic to that place only.
If you let me know of a reputable and trustworthy shop, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hey take a look at Jermantown shell, I recently got my fog lamps installed and a spare tire mounted .
They have lower prices than dealers and are pretty good .

I haven't worked with them but PTUNING in Manassas has has reasonable prices for NOVA and a good reputation. I assume they do general maintenance as well.

Prices do not include parts.
  • Lowering spring installation: $424.00
  • Clutch / Flywheel replacement: $742.00
  • 4-Wheel Alignment: $135.00
  • Cat-back exhaust installation: $159.00
  • PRL front-mount intercooler and turbo intake kit installation: $530.00
  • Downpipe installation: $159.00
Next I would also check out Mach V Motorsports, they don't specialize in the civic but also have good reviews.

Try Pohanka Acura. Many of their techs grew up with my sons and they are excellent at doing the normal service any Honda may need. They can do anything, other than a recall on a Honda. Check with Service Advisor Jerry Soriano and he will take good care of your car. I have been going there for service since the late 80's!

I have never been there, but a friend of mine swears by Yoon's Auto Care in Centreville on Centreville Crest Lane.

I do most of my own work, but when it's too much I go to this shop in Manassas:

JR Auto
9043 Jerrys Cir
Manassas, VA 20110

If you need light work, I can do most of the required maintenance and other stuff. Just hit me up. I'm in Manassas.

He just did my clutch on my 2009 Civic, replaced my motor on my son's 2005 Tc back in 2018, and replaced my motor on my daughter's 1995 V6 Camry back in 2013. He doesn't over charge or try to make crap up that you need. On my mother's Rav4, he actually refused to replace the wheel bearings because he knew they were still covered by Toyota. After much BS with the Toyota dealership, they replaced it.

I do recommend you do you own work to make sure you know it's done RIGHT! I don't even trust the dealerships to work on any of my cars anymore. I go there only for limited work and recalls.

I know you said Centerville/Fairfax area, but my family and I have been going to Auto Advantage in Leesburg for over 5+ years now. The owner's name is John and he is a highly knowledgeable master mechanic and knows about all types of different cars, (BMW, Lexus, Honda, Acura).

My RSX engine blew up back in 2013 with 220k miles on it. He did a full engine swap for me for $2k and it ran till the day I sold it in May 2019 for my current civic hatch now.

All of his prices are competitive and you know it will be done correctly (can't put a price on that). He will also not charge you an arm and a leg for his work. He'll even do free inspections and he will never recommend something that isn't going to be needed. He's very honest and quality of work is A+ imo. In the past years, he's worked on suspension, engine, and regular maintenance on our cars.

I will continue to bring my cars to him and if you ever decide to check him out his info is below.

Auto Advantage Of Va Inc
Address: 9 Davis Ave SW, Leesburg, VA 20175

I've been going to KC Automotive in Burke Road in Burke, VA since 2010. They're very good and while prices may seem high, they're much lower than the dealership.

RevTec in Sterling, VA. They have great customer service, do an honest job and will be upfront with you, and have really cool employees who generally love cars.

Oh yea, and they are an authorized dealer for Hondata tuning as well as offering dyno services.

Absolutely the best; My Dad's Automotive in Chantilly. I have known these guys since they hung out with my sons building up Hondas "back in the day", and they can be trusted for great work and super detail knowledge of Hondas, Acuras, etc.
Here's their web site: https://www.mydadsva.com/

Have you let them work on your R before? And if so, what did they do?
