wondering how this will affect et's on the quarter mile versus pedal dance..

???? Yep, still waiting. In the 1/4 mile thread, it was posted that it made a difference but no concrete data. Just hearsay!

i used advanced vsa in auto cross last weekend.
i didn't like the feel of the launch with it full on but withh the traction control button turned off it did great. i was almost a full second faster with it compared to vsa full disabled with pedal dance.

the button just delays vsa untill after you get going.

unlike drag, in autocross i use the launch to help heat the tires so some spin is good.

Don't mind me with the questions folks. I LOVE drag racing and bringing down my 1/4 mile times. Even more, I bracket race my cars a LOT in competition. This is my only FWD vehicle though. It's critical that I hit my 1/4 mile time target so I can win $$$ (for even more modifications :p ). Even a little tire slip can be the difference between winning or losing a race by 100th's of a second. So with that, this is huge for me.

This will bring confidence in my car's consistency. And kick arse 60ft and 1/4 mile times of course.

Well then ktuner shouldsho have supported the cvt in the first place
What do you mean lol? Everyone even says launching a cvt will just destroy it's transmission hella quick

Love the new Advanced VSA options! Very nice!
Been running the KTuner's Stage 2 flash & PRL Stage 1 Intake on my 18' Honda Accord Sport 2.0T since I let the Si go but just got the VSA update going a week ago. Running the Goodyear All Season stock tires. This car is indeed a Gentleman's Type R now!

This 2.0 engine is amazing with this 10AT but I couldn't get power down to save my life, talking full torque at just 1,500rpm......thing was quick stock but is now a stump puller!
From a stand still I could roast the tires into 5th gear and even break them loose in 7th-8th gear on a 30-40mph roll.

Flashed the new VSA option set to "Moderate" and what a world of difference. I just get little chirps now and the car just keeps pulling.....it almost feels like a Telsa now how smooth and just quick it is.
I can't even describe how hard I can get going now and I'm not even running the "Aggressive" setting since everything else is stock, especially the downpipe/cat.
This transmission is amazing and there is now way you can shift faster, I've been pretty blown away and have not missed shifting honestly.

Haven't been to the track yet but Tunerview's built in timer/stats features works amazingly well and accurate.......I've dropped at least a 1/2 second on my 0-60's & 1/4 mile runs.

Looks like Flex Fuel setups are now coming to the Accord(Siri Moto & Hondata currently) as well pushing torque even higher so this is great! Car was a 13.9 bracket car all day long stock(14.3 w/ A/C on) can't wait to see what it can put down now!

Appreciate all your hard work and making it so easy to transfer my KTuner from the Si to the Accord! I'm still blown away at the price to performance to features ratio versus some stand alone units!

Thanks for your feedback on this. I've been DYING to hear how well it works for people. 1/2 a second man? Really? What were your before and after 0-60s and 1/4 mile runs? Also, what is this 'Moderate' setting you are talking about? Is it that ignition retard is set to moderate while there is no throttle pullback? I want to utilize similar settings to whatever works for other people. Wondering if aggressive is the best as far as 0-60s and 1/4 mile runs are concerned. Thanks again!
:)

Also, I've searched the Accord forums to see if anyone posted before and after VSA use but found nothing.

Really! I couldn't believe it either but I knew by how hard it launched that it was absolutely worth it. Interested to see how it works in snow too!

Like I said I can't confirm on the track just with the built in timer/stats layout built into Tunerview/Lite. I've found it very accurate and you can start the recording/timer at throttle push or you can use the built in light tree if you would like to test your reaction times. I was also testing the best way to launch, I found using the two foot method to hold the brake and hover the throttle. Brake Hold was taking way too long to release. So smooth when you do it this way with advanced VSA.

In the Accord layout it only has three selections for VSA: Light, Moderate, & Aggressive....I didn't pay attention to exactly what settings the pullbacks were for Ignition or Throttle.
I can take a look at lunch!

Stage 2 Tune w/ all Quick Enables(23 PSI,) VSA Moderate, PRL Stage 1 Intake, tires at 34 PSI, 91 octane, Sport mode on, mid 80's ambient temp & the car was already midly heatsoaked. K/C was mid 0.50-0.60's:

0-60 ranged from 5.4-5.6 second pulls just spinning like mad........I'm now closer to 4.8-5.1 averages. I think I could get this even lower with better tires or lower PSI.
R/T ranged from 0.091-0.150 for all runs.
1/4 miles ranged from 13.6-13.9 seconds to now averaging 13.1-13.5 seconds.

*Forgot to add that I did not turn Honda's VSA off via the button or the pedal dance, just the Advanced VSA turned on.

Substantial change and you can really feel it, the numbers verify it. Be interesting to see what it does at the track as we all know how things change quite a bite.
Either way I'm just happy it can actually put the power to the wheels.....It's so nice to have a luxury(for me) sport sedan that is comfortable, sleek & powerful.
13 second car all day is just about right for the street! I could go on for days about this 10AT as well.........seriously one of Honda's best(ATRA Certified.)
Even has a built in warmer/cooler unit built into the transaxle!
