Hi,

I installed the DashCam with HardWire-Kit, ACC-Cable i connected into Fuse #1 and Battery into Fuse #16 ( I have 2018 Sport Plus Hatch, UK ), where to insert the power jack ? To GPS Unit or to Camera Body for correct work, and what settings need to be configured in Park Mode ?

Cause whatever i try to configure after period of time on battery, and i turn on the car...DashCam frozen till i re-plug the power cable.

You need to be more details, maybe with pics.

1. Are you certain you have the wires hooked up to the right fuse and are you using a fuse tap?
If i'm not mistaken the yellow wire is meant to be wired to a fuse that's always on like the brake light or power seat fuse if equipped
the red wire connects to an accessory fuse like the stereo or AC because those don't turn on until you push to start
Finally, the ground wire

2. Make sure you have the latest firmware installed. Sometimes you have to update the firmware for parking mode to work with the HW kit

3. Check dash cam talk forums

Does the dashcam work without this function operational? The only time my dashcam freezes like you described is when there's a problem with the SD Card.

According to many videos i saw and people comments, Yellow-ACC goes to accessory fuse and Red-Battery goes to always on fuse.
The firmware is upgraded to latest v1.5 which is available on Viofo webiste.

I will check the forums, thanks.

To GPS Unit or to Camera Body for correct work, and what settings need to be configured in Park Mode ?
If you're using the new 3 wire hardware kit (and it sounds like you are :)), you need to plug the power cable into the USB port on the actual dash cam. You cannot use parking mode if you have the power cable plugged into the GPS module. It has to be plugged into the camera. According to the forums, it's was an oversight or something. :dunno:

Cause whatever i try to configure after period of time on battery, and i turn on the car...DashCam frozen till i re-plug the power cable.
Does this happen when you have the rear camera turned off disconnected?

I've read that if the rear camera or rear camera USB cable are faulty then you can run into issues like this. See if you have less issues by disconnecting the rear camera cable. If it helps, maybe try using your warranty to replace the rear USB cable or camera.

If the wifi mode is on, does turning it off make it any better?

I have heard that wifi mode can sometimes cause issues. This doesn't affect every model (mine worked totally fine with wifi mode) but you can test this out by turning it off if it's on. It's worth a try.

You are correct, the yellow ACC cable goes to an accessory fuse (or any fuse that only gets power when the car is on) and the red one goes to an always on fuse.

PS, When recording, turn off the wifi mode. Having the wifi mode on while recording cuts the bitrate it records at in half.

Yes, i disconnected the rear camera and it started to work as intended, i am waiting for new cable to arrive to see if this is cable or camera issue.

User interface will freeze when you try to get into menu or auto parking mode when wifi is enabled. Only enable wifi if you absolutely have to connect directly to the camera to grab footage or check settings. Otherwise, leave it off.

Latest version is 1.9

Update please, was it just cable or rear cam that failed? I'm noticing people on other forums running into same issue.

That's exactly what I do. WIFI is only turned on for reviewing/downloading videos

What specifically is your issue @ApexEight ? I have an A129 Pro Duo installed and works as expected.
Don't have it yet but was wondering the following:

Do you have the Viofo 3 wire kit for parking mode? If so, what voltage cutoff do you have it set at? How long can it run in parking mode before it cuts off and what parking mode are you using (time lapse, low bitrate, etc)? Do you have to plug the hardwire kit into the camera to have parking mode or did they fix that with firmware and have it to where you can plug it into the GPS module? Was the rear cable long enough to reach the hatch and how did you route/tuck the cable? Any overheating issues? Do you have tint? Where on the glass did you mount the cams?

Yes I do have the 3 wire kit for parking mode. I used to use the 12.0 voltage and it was working fine for me. Sometimes I would leave it plugged in overnight sometimes I wouldn't. What I noticed is that over the course, I would wake up to a dead car battery, around 2 times in the 3 month span that I had it. So I recently switched to 12.4 or whatever the highest voltage is and I have yet to see a dead car battery. I believe my battery is getting older, almost 4 years, so thats why I switched it.

I am using the default setting, motion detection. I originally had it connected to the GPS module, but I read after my dead car battery, that it is supposed to be plugged into the main unit. No overheating issues, I have 20% tint all around. And yes the cable is more than enough to reach from the front to the back. I have a sedan, but it will suffice for the hatch. I routed it all through the headliner and through the crevices around our door trims. I will take a pic later today and post when I have time.
