What are yall running on your Si's for winter? Are we able to downsize to a 17 with our brakes, or are we stuck at $1200 winter tires on our 18's? Just planning ahead a bit since I'll be commuting an hour on the highway each way, starting the end of August.

I downgraded to 17inch steelies. I ran Winterforce 2 with great results in Buffalo winter

Edit: 215/50, 17 Size tires on 17x6.5 steelies

Nice. I'm glad to hear the 17's fit around our brakes. I'm up near Toronto myself, so I'm dealing with the same winter as you!

Running 17" Tirerack brand wheels myself. No clearance issues.

I'll be grabbing 17" wheels and throwing snow tires on them. Usually in the past I've run General Altimax Arctic's, but am unsure what I'll go with this time around for this car. The narrower the tire the better though, as it gets more weight down in a smaller area for bite and traction.

Tire Rack says that 16's will fit. I have a set of 16 inch Accord alloys that I'm going to try fitting on the car tomorrow.

I 'd be very surprised if a 16'' can pass over the front calipers.
The last 2 winters, I drove Toyo Observe Garrit 215 x 50 monted on
SI 2008 mags purchased on KiJiJi. They are 17s.
I had to grind them back with a little grinder so they would not
rub on the front calipers.
It's much more beautiful than black steel rims.

16’s won’t clear the front brake calipers. They would fit on the 9gen Si but not our 10’s. I run 17x7 steels with 225/45/17 . Blizzaks. If you already have the rims give it a go, nothing lost.

I did give it a go as I ended up with the 16 inch Accord alloys given to me by a friend and unsurprisingly, they do not clear the calipers. I wonder why Tire Rack lists 16’s as an option?

So that means I can sell the winter tires from my 9th gen Si. I do have a set of 17 inch winter tires than I can use but I’ll need to find wheels.

Most importantly my 17x8 track wheels and RE7R1’s fit perfect and we’ll see how the car is at autocross tomorrow. :)

New here and I've searched and read the different threads, but this one seemed the most current, so I'll ask here.

I have a fairly new set (4) of Firestone Weatherforce Size: P225/55R17 that I ran on my 2004 Nissan 350Z in the winters. They are mounted on alloy wheels but I don't know if they'll fit my 2019 Si Coupe. They were originally bought from Tire Rack as a mounted set for my Nissan Maxima a decade ago and when I got rid of the Maxima, I test fit them on the Z. They looked dumb as anything (super tucked), but no rubbing whatsoever and they were "free". I ran them on the Z for 5 winters with no issues and then bought new tires last year. I sold the Z and kept the wheels/tires as I thought there might be a slim chance I could use them on my Si Coupe.

Has anyone attempted to mount this size tire on any kind of rim on a 10th Gen Si? If so, any rubbing at full lock or driving over bumps?

Thanks!

If you really want to run sub 17" rims on the Front of the Si, you will need to fit smaller diameter aftermarket calipers. Then you can get down to 16", or even 15"

There are aftermarket calipers that fit the Genx Si, that CLAIM to have equal, if not greater breaking ability than the oem Honda ones, similar area, but less overall diameter.

16" should fit on the rear -- not sure about 15"

If somebody really wanted to save some money, they could stagger and put 17's on the front and 16's on the rear as long as the outer diameter is the same. But if pinching pennies is that important, its probably time to sell the Si :p

Quick question guys. 2019 civic si. Recently put on steelies 225 50 17R
I just noticed how bad the negative camber is on the rear. Is that normal?
