Anyone purposefully disconnect their head unit from Wifi so you don't get updates?

Once I get my Honda Hack/DSP fix/autostart just how I want it, I don't want updates to break what I've done.... I won't be using the car head unit for anything internet-related, just playing music via BT through my phone.

For it to use wifi, it needs to connect to something that has an internet connection, like your phone. The head unit doesn't update anything over the air. Any updates have to be done via USB, even if you have the built-in navi, the map updates are done by downloading to a USB key and plugging it into your system.

Yeah, once you realize how updates actually work. You’re gonna wish there were over the air updates you needed to avoid.
