41 with wife and two kids.
My friends all said i should get a suv or tesla if i want fast car...
But what they dont know is how much i love ctr...
I had a 98 prelude, then traded in for 2000 ITR, then S2000, trade in for BMW 330 sedan because of marrige, then X3 because of kids, and up to X5 for 10 years and finally kids are older and decided to back to sport... made a wrong decision last year for a sport hatch. I thought i can settle with a sport hatch. End up spending so much money each month to mod the car .. up to a point that my wife told me to just get a type R... finally bought my type R last month.. cant be happier...
My friends said what so special of the car.. just a civic. But i know they won't understand. I dont care

25 and loving it. My first manual but my third Honda. 2003 Civic LX to a 2016 Civic Coupe Touring to a 2018 CTR. Certainly moved up the ranks.

Took a while to get used to the clutch but itā€™s easy as heck now. Such a fun car.

Whatā€™s up everyone

Just picked up my PMM the other day and my wife commented that Iā€™m getting too old for something with such a large wing.

Iā€™ve been into Hondaā€™s since 1988 when I had Jackson Racing suspension in my CRX.

I thought I was done til they announced the Civic Type-R was coming to the states and I knew I had to get one!! Iā€™m glad I Did! My BEST Honda yet!

Iā€™m 45 years old and proud!!
Heh, I had the same issue with my wife; ā€œIt doesnā€™t suit you or our family!ā€ :). Iā€™m 46 and I love it! (I wonā€™t say itā€™s beautiful, but I do like how aggressive it looks, and the performance is my priority.). I had a ā€˜00 PY ITR, and also knew I had to have one again when they came out with the new version. I was just thinking back today, as I drove my favorite back road home from work, that itā€™s putting the same smile on my face that my ā€˜00 ITR did, almost 20 years ago.

What a phenomenal car!

45 next week! Just traded my Hellcat on a 19 in Championship White and it takes me back to my favorite car of all time. I had a 94 Integra GS-R with the first production Jackson Racing supercharger in the country. I created and ran the "Forced Induction Integra" forum back in the day, and spent many happy years in SCCA with that car, winning regionals a few years in a row but never finishing high in Nationals because of the class I was in (E Modified).

Picking up the CTR and driving it home on Friday took 25 years away just like that! :D I liked the Hellcat, but I think the CTR will make me far happier. Now to put another 300 miles of break in on it and then we can go for a real drive!

Notice lots of 40+ owner... we shared the same similarity.. we either once had 2000 ITR dc2 or we were dying for one but couldn't afford it because being in 20s..
Being with a tuition loan and an early mortgage, i cant afford the ITR, was driving prelude. Still not bad but type R was my dream.

I know i have to get fk8 when it annouced to come to canada.
