you could probably fashion a microfiber cloth around the
Anyone have better idea? Place a small velcro pad around the affected area on the seat?
adjust the seating position, maybe try bringing the wheel out towards you instead of using the seat to put you closer to the wheel?

other than that, some home-brew options like you stated, i'd probably fashion a microfiber wrap to loop through the harness holes. Or just get a seat cover.

I am 5' 6 with sit up position and have the same issue. Having shoulder pads semi helps but with problem. 1)Belt tends to be loose and not tighten as you are fasten while the pad slipped up to the rubbing area of the seat. 2) Belt doesnt retract as you unfasten, leaving it hanging loose as you exit.

Anyone have better idea? Place a small velcro pad around the affected area on the seat?

I dont think Scotch Guard will do anything to protect the suede other than Liquid repellent.

At least I know I’m not the only one, for a minute I thought I had a defective seat. Only because my passenger seat has no marks (the only person to ride shotgun has been my 5’1 wife.)

When you found the marks did you clean it? If so with what? I have Sparco belt covers on the way so hopefully they work out.

I don't have the wear/marks there there but I have it on the bolsters where my jeans rubbed. I bought a pair of dream seat covers and it's the best money I've spent. Out of sight, out of mind, match the seat colours, the logo looks cool and protects of course...
Got any pics of the seat covers?

I have no marks on mine, just minor wearing on the suede. My passenger including my wife always in the recline mode, so no wear on the other side. lol

And here I was feeling bad about 'settling' for an Si instead of a CTR. That military grade Kevlar, er, 'fabric' on the SI is holding up well so far.

Really, it comes down to the size of the user.

Honda can't engineer a seat and seating positions and seatbelts to match every single user out there, perfectly. No manufacturer can.

Same go for the seats. If you have hips or some ass in dem pants, your seat will wear prematurely. If you don't, they more than likely will last. There's no two ways about it when it comes to highly bolstered seats.

They can be a curse for those who want to preserve the condition of their cars, but in my experience, the only way to do that is shedding some weight. Not something many of us like to hear :p

Yeah, I am 6'3" so I sit pretty far back and I have zero wear on my seat from the belt as it never actually touches my seat back (actually sits above about an inch or two).

Seeing as the wear is kind of inline with the gap, I was thinking of adding these instead of using a seat belt cover.

cheesy, I know.

I'm at 6600 miles and just noticed the wear on my the left side of the driver seat from the seat belt. I'm 6'3 and sit high and upright when I drive. Think I'm going to wrap it in a sock or something at least for the time being. Not really sure what to do.

Anyone have 'seatbelt guards' like this installed?
I'm trying to find them in the US if possible; instead of buying them from Japan.
