Thanks for the write up! Did half this install Saturday but couldn't finish, should have read more closely about the 5/16 pin connectors, antenna connections, and also tested the Honda website for the code. Someone over at Honda transcribed the Z in my radio serial as a 2 so I was getting errors on the VIN/Serial matching.

Happy to post up some photos and links if it's helpful.

So I'm looking between a 2019 Sport HB (I really like the HB look) and an Si. Would I have to do this in the 2019 Sport HB in order to have Apple Carplay?

I've been looking on ebay and it seems like this is going to be more expensive than replacing it with an aftermarket headunit that does CarPlay and SiriusXM.

price has gone down a bit. u can problably get the radio for under $200. radio module for around 70 . sooner or later u gonna see them for 50. plus some plugs.sometimes u just gonna have to look around whenever u have time. should be able to finish it for under 300 bucks.i was thinking about getting the 9inch after market ones. but most of them are ship from china. if something goes wrong its hard to get an exchange or refund since shipping stuff to china is way more expensive.i have installed a few of those 9in/ 8inch on my coworkers vehicle. the screen is really bad under the sun thats why i chose oem.

So I found 39100-TBA-A31 OEM on eBay for $249.99. Does this include both the brains and the tablet mentioned in the first post? Would I just need the am fm xm hd tuner 39800-TBA-A21 OEM and the USB 39114TBA305 to make the swap? I’m looking at about $376 for all of this.

39100-TBA-A31 Is the main unit. If it's together with the display and the cable that connect them together you'll need just the FM/XM tuner too (the main unit does not have the FM built in).
You will need the additional USB ports and the GPS antenna.
There are some cables between the FM unit and the main unit that you will need as well.

Hi Kotaru tks.

1- the rearview camera is still pending. It works if you manually pull it up via the maintenance menu, but doesnt work when you put it in reverse, as the signal comes from an extra wire from the fuse box and didnt have time to dig into which one is it. Should be a 10 minute job, once you know which wire is it.
.
can you show pinouts?

Yes! But what exactly do you need? The reverse signal from the fusebox? or the reverse pin on the headunit?
Bro i have a questions. Without AM/FM module i can use FM-radio on head unit? I have one 39800-TBA-A21 but i see what i need 6V and 9V input. Its may be a big problem in my RSX)

Well Let's do it in some Parts

Reverse Signal from the fuse box

You can get this signal from the 4 pin accessory connector on the fusebox.
Please test with a multimeter first to confirm (this one i'm not sure if the view is from the cable or fusebox)

No, you need the FM module in order to have FM/AM or XM and so.
You can use it without this module and have no FM/AM.

Those 6V and 9V Comes from the head unit !
