Deflate ! Air compressor for deflate ?

For our cars and bicycles I always use hand pump. When very old I may buy electrical compressor:thumbsup:

Bicycle pump is basically a waste of time on car tires unless you like pumping literally hundreds of strokes (volume is to small). For car tires get an electric compressor, any small one will do can get the small ones for about one to two hundreds dollars.

The post above is correct. The cars without a spare come with a portable air compressor. But if you need to purchase one, and your concerned about size, because home/garage air compressors can get big, search for a compressor for motorcycle tires. Mine is a cordless Black and Decker. Others can run off the battery or cigarette lighter (12v) connection. Mine has a setting for psi and another for something like an air mattress.

Plenty out there that can do the job, it really depends on your budget. I have the equivalent of this (older model) sitting in the corner of my garage: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-60-Gal-Stationary-Electric-Air-Compressor-C602H/205389936

If I hadn't scored that for the low low price of free, I probably would have done something comparable to this one: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-3...table-Electric-Air-Compressor-C303H/206532808

I use my compressor to run air tools etc. If you are looking for something to fill up tires, balls, bikes, etc. I would go with something like this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/ANVIL-2...th-7-Piece-Accessories-Kit-0110247A/302862443

A waiste of time :hmm:

I lose so much more time in traffic and on social networks (twitter, facebook to name a few) than to inflate my tires. We talk about a car with 4 tires, not 40 tires

$100 to $200 for a car tire/recreational compressor is much. I currently have this inflator device from Costco for $40 and it is plenty fast enough for maintaining tires. Wall outlet or car battery, no built in battery, so it's light. You set the pressure, it shuts off automatically.
I like it, because my car is sometimes parked in the garage with little space to one side and it's convenient to just plug it in and wait until it stops without the need to crouch, squat or take a knee in a tight spot to observe the gauge.

It can't deflate though. I don't have it now, but will soon get this Ryobi inflator-deflator -- not because I need deflating so much, but because I have a ton of Ryobi batteries already, so I buy Ryobi tools as a "Collect'em All" game.

You are right.....

Yeah, I don't have time to pump my car tires with a bicycle pump. I need to get off the computer :coffee: and then get the tires pumped up in 5 seconds with a $200 compressor to run to the gym to pump iron dumbbells there....

If you are looking for a decent, cheap, mid-range compressor I just bought one of these Kobalt Quiet Tech compressors and it's amazing. After a few oil-less compressors that are crazy loud (like CRAZY loud), and an oiled compressor from Harbor Freight, that only worked for a season or so, this little beast works great. It fills up fast to 150psi, and stays quiet enough that I could leave it on, in the garage, all the time, without it keeping anyone awake. Can't recommend it enough.
