2000 miles today on my 2019 Si Coupe. At about 1,000 miles, selecting XM started producing the "check tuner" message. About the same time, the entire system acted stupid at times and would take upwards of a minute to boot up. I did the soft reset (hold the pwr button down and select reset) and the hard resets (remove the 15A fuse while in accessory mode....and I tried disconnecting the battery cables and leaving them tied together for 10 minutes before I went to the dealer). After three hours of troubleshooting this morning, the dealer tech throws up his hands and said they ordered an entire new infotainment system. Apparently they believe the XM tuner is causing this entire thing and the tuner itself is not a separate module in the 2019. It's actually part of the system. More to follow to see if this actually fixes the problem.

Interesting problem, hope the replacement works out. I hate my 17 Si Infotainment system, it's a matter of time before it breaks.
So, while I wait for the replacement head unit, I decided to experiment a bit. If you turn off the audio power (push the volume knob) before you turn the car off, it will IMMEDIATELY boot up when the car is restarted, and I mean fast. All you have to do is push the power button again when the car is started to turn the audio unit back on and all is good (and quickly). However, it's inconvenient to do this (and to remember to do it). This leads me to believe there should be a software change that can be made that ensures the radio is turned off before ignition when you push the ignition button to shut the car down.

There’s seriously something wrong with the infotainment systems. I’m gonna have to take my car to the dealership since it soft locks a lot. I called up the dealer about the issues. I asked them about software updates, but they don’t have any. I hope they don’t give me shit about how it’s operating normally and they won’t do anything about it and I lose out on about $200 for diagnostics.

Should be under warranty. If not I would stay away from the dealer.

Get a video of the problem if possible. Helps to have something to show them if you show up at your appointment and it happens to be working again.

Great work around, unfortunately it doesn't work for us with the older head unit's without the volume knob.

This literally just happened to me this morning after filling up. Never saw it before. It was as if it stalled on startup. When I got to a light, I just restarted the car and xm was acting weird with the "check tuner" thing. I just switched to fm for a few minutes and tried going back to xm and everything was fine. Keep us updated on what goes on!

Why wouldn't it? We still have an audio power button we could use to turn audio power off before ignition off. I'll try to remember to give it a shot.
