Currently running the Flex Fuel tune with the SiriMoto kit and my car threw a p2183 code. Which is a ECT 2 range sensor problem.

I was low on fuel I’d say a little over a gallon since i was trying to fill up with e40. Anyways drove home and reflashed after filling up and the code is now gone. Just curious what caused this.

Since your ECT2 sensor is now technically your ethanol content reading, perhaps some of your connections might have been loose? Did the code go away by itself or did you clear it?

Nope had to go home and reflash since i don’t think there is a way to just clear this code. Been driving since and still no code.

Can you post a screenshot of the MODS area of FlashPro? I got this code when I switched back to an e-tune which didn't have all the necessary Flex Fuel items checked in the mods area. Basically, the ECU was expecting the normal ECT2 output but instead was getting the FlexFuel output, so it was out of the normal range.

I'm having this same issue with the siriflex fuel kit when I'm in my e85 tune no lights come on or anything but I cant seem to pass an smog inspection because it shows oxygen sensor not complete vap and catalytic. So I flash back to stock get the whole cycle set once I turn off the car for a little to long I get both p0128 and p2183 its driving me crazy because I need this emission inspection passed

I'm pretty sure there is a box to disable ECT2 that needs to be checked in the mods window. I don't have my FP with me at work so I can't get into a calibration on my work comp.

You'll need to put pump gas back in and temporarily reconnect your ECT2 sensor when you flash back to the stock tune. The CELs that are disabled for running a flex fuel kit also make it not possible to pass emissions. Ethanol itself is fine - but the way flex fuel kits work by replacing the ECT2 sensor can piss it off.

Off topic a bit, but are you running a custom tune on E40, or a base map? Your fuel pump duty must be maxed if youre on a stock FS

It definitely pisses my off everything is good after refreshing to stock but after turning off the car and on the 3rd time emission light comes on with both p0128 and p2183. Going to try reconnected it to the stock one go for emission inspection then reconnect thanks for the advise

What are your mods?

Cause your car is probably not good after flashing and just happened to stay in closed loop for those 2 key cycles. And your car will not pass emissions in closed loop operation.

Well last night I got everything to pass except for vap but then I turned it on this morning and emission light went on with the same codes. Sirimoto flex fuel kit and prl cai nothing serious
