I washed my car yesterday and everything looked good. On the way home today it was raining. When I got home I noticed an odd splash mark on the door. I almost thought maybe someone spit out the window and it landed on my car. So I tried to wipe it clean and for some reason it looks like whatever it was damaged the paint. I tried using some detail spray and a clay bar yet the market still there any ideas on how to fix or am I screwed?

Whatever it is, it looks like it just something stuck to the clear coat. It doesn’t look like it damaged the paint. I would recommend a rubbing compound. That should buff it out.

Polish would remove it no need of rubbing compound as it's harsher than polish
