Hello everyone,

I’m having an issue, well I wouldn’t really say issue, but something that really bothers me. I went ahead and installed a shock sensor for added security on my 2018 Type R and I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to have the sensor only get power when the security system is active? Right now I have it wired so that the shock sensor gets power anytime the car is powered off. It gets annoying when get out of the car and I go to lock the door via the keyless button on the drivers door, there is a delay caused by the shock sensor triggering an “open door” when I go to hit the button. So I have to wait a little while to lock the car. Gets very annoying over time. Annoying to the point that I’m considering disconnecting the sensor all together. Any help is appreciated.

Why are you not using walk away feature?

I also tried enabling the walk away feature. The shock sensor causes a delay long enough that I get the rapid beep and it never activates. Unless I stand next to the door and wait for the one confirmation beep. Which makes the feature pointless. And the walk away feature got annoying so I disabled it. Kept locking the doors when I didn’t want it to so I kept having to unlock it again. Definitely putting more wear on the door lock actuators.
