Mine has faded away quite a bit on the sides. They did a poor job of painting this part. Has anyone tried painting the entire tip black by any chance? Some sort of exhaust tip cover would be cool. I removed most of the chrome from my car the only thing left is the exhaust. I like the HDMI tip styling actually and don't want to replace it.

Paint won’t stick to chrome and last. Go ask the Harley motorcycle community.

I polished mine out and it looks sick. Now like an Aluminum dishpan.

I also used flat black Rustoleum enamel as others have recommended and it worked really well.

I have this issue as well. Dealer will repaint under warranty. I’m kinda liking the no black look. I may just remove the black and polish it up.
