I just got a letter today: Vehicle and A/C Control Unit Update: DTC P0300, p0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0172

It says Honda will update your vehicle's software and A/C control unit.

I also did my KTuner / TSP install a few weeks ago.............. hmmmmm. What are the steps here? Take it back to stock? Just leave it be? If back to stock, is there a "right" way to do this?

Thanks for any input!!
take it to stock and unlock. remove ktuner from the car so they don't get scared.
after all is done then drive it a few days make sure nothing messed up. then tsp it.

been there. done that.

Just an FYI for those of you that have the Ktuner TSP Stage 1 tune installed and you re-flashed to stock to take your cars in to the dealer for the oil dilution recall. According to TSP, when you flash back to the TSP stage 1 tune, none of Honda's updates are overwritten. Here is the response directly from TSP

That's funny. Were you throwing a code with the Race MAF + stock tune?
This was my exact question and the only reason that I haven't had this work done yet. I'm not mechanically inclined enough to tempt the fates with reinstalling the stock airbox.

I can def take the intake off but heckkkkkkk no i dont feel like it lol. My dealer is cool though they know most of us mod our cars here in nyc. But i def know some dealers who would def give problems and have it noted.

Which dealer did you go to? I have to go and get this done sooner or later but I don't feel like dealing with dealer issues or unbolting all my stuff... lol

Your Dealer cannot READ !!!

TSB says REPLACE ENGINE OIL (does not say to change filter) .. Nothing about only 1 quart of oil --- and charge the balance to the customer.
cad0189b-5cb3-4df4-9e71-ece25f427c4e-jpeg.jpg

It even tells them the codes to use for Bulk Oil, or 2* 2 quart Bottles, in order to get reimbursed by Honda.

So by LYING to you, they manage to get you to PAY for a full Oil Change + filter !!
(and got reimbursed by Honda for the 4 quarts of TSB Oil !!!)

DOUBLE PROFIT --- Nice !!!

:flame::dance:
Like I've said before. You NEVER get anything from the dealer. They are known to provide HORRIBLE customer service, many times causing your car to be in worse condition than what it was when you brought it in and they are experts at TAKING YOUR MONEY. STAY AWAY FOREVER!!!

Got the same thing today. If it’s just the oil dilution recall I’m inclined to ignore it... Have full bolt ons and don’t want to deal with the trouble. Also I just changed my oil last week with full synth oil. Not gonna have them drain my fresh oil and put bulk oil from the drum in...
Honda OEM Oil is full synthetic. its around $500/drum

Interesting. I spoke to Open Road Honda today of Edison NJ and had 3 different people tell me that there is no oil change included.
The PDFs that were attached to this thread state otherwise. Is that PDF supposed to be for technicians only?

I fear that the entire procedure may have been modified from 1 year ago when they started fixing this issue vs what they do now.

I just got back from the dealer for the recall and they changed my oil and filter. I specifically asked about the filter and told them I wanted it changed even if it would cost me. In the end, I paid nothing since my car was due for maintenance (never took it in there until now). Worked out nice for me, maintenance light came on about 4 days ago saying it was time to change the oil. Now I'm gonna reflash my TSP Stage 1 tune. This rev hang is brutal.
