Warning when tinting Type R (or any 10th gen civic) - water will cause keyless entry system problem

sorry completely off topic here, which one do you prefer to drive and why?

Keyless issues from tinting usually go away after 2-3 days. If problem persists, disconnect negative battery cable and wait a couple minutes and reconnect. May need to visit dealer if that doesn’t fix the problem.

Great I am getting ready to have mine tinted and this will give me something to worry about.........

Man I've written and deleted what I've typed so many times. I really can't decide when it comes to which car I prefer to drive.

Both are amazing cars for very different reasons.

If I didn't need a practical hatch as a daily driver for work and you made me choose 1 car to keep, it has to be the Z06. Exhaust will always sound better, it pulls so much harder top end and insane torque low end around the city, and handling is insane... But I get like 15 mpg on a good day lol

thanks for the response, I figured the Z was overall the better performance car. Very mean machine.

Still no auto headlight on day 2...

Going to reset battery and hope it works tomorrow...

I just had my fk8's windows tinted, including the windshield, and are experiencing issues. First, the electric brake malfunction light came on. It turned off after about 10 minutes of driving home from tint shop. The auto headlights are not working. Its been 4 days now and still nothing. Maybe it has to do with the sensor but not sure. I will check out different things and update you all on outcome.

It's an inconsistent experience for CTR owners. My brother and I both have '19 CTRs bought new from dealers. We both had our tint done after the sale at a reputable business in my area. My CTR dash went crazy with flashing lights and "keyless entry error" messages after my tint job was done. The issue went away after the car sat overnight in my garage. My brother's CTR had no such issue. Again, same tint installer, same model and year car, but totally different experiences when getting tint done. The good news is it doesn't ever seem to be detrimental based on all the feedback I've seen on the issue; it seems to always go away on its own.

Auto headlight sensor in the middle of the dash completely broke. Had to replace it. under warranty luckily.

2019 EX here and having many of the issues described above after getting tint done yesterday..

Keyless System Error --- Lights flickering on the dash, remote start not working, trunk refusing to open as well as auto locking/unlocking. And to top it all off, when the car is locked, the alarm would randomly go off!

Parked it in the garage overnight -- unlocked -- and didn't have any more alarm issues but when I went to start it this morning the error was still there.

Guess I'll have to try the battery disconnect..

I have noticed that when I'm washing it with they keyfob in my pocket the door lock sound goes on and off, and lights flash, when the water hits the door handle when I'm near it....

I just had my honda ex hatch 2020 tinted, and, After I turn on the car all the warning signs came out. At first I was worried because I just bought it last month. And, I know that my warranty will not cover it if something went wrong happened because of the tint. I found a solution by attaching the photos that I vacuumed. This is the fastest way to dry the water or solution that they used. And after that, I turn on my car and everything went back to normal. Don't use blower because it will affect the tint, I guess!
