1.5L Turbo, 4.5 weeks old and 850 miles, MPG is not that great. Best I've seen even with freeway driving and cruise control is in low 30's. Most of my daily driving is city with some freeway. Current average is posted in pic. Been told there is a break in period. Should I wait for a break in period or contact Honda or the dealership?

I'm confused by the two average mpg read outs - the first is after fueling, the second is the history. Why are they so different? What am I missing?

Because the 1st # is just the average for the 10 miles since you filled up and the others are the average of the last full tanks. Maybe for that 10 miles the car was perfectly warmed up or you were going downhill the whole way or there was a tail wind, etc.

I have 3500km on the Coupe now and I am seeing further improvement in the gas mileage. I commute approximately 100km each way to work. The commute is settling into a nice 4.7l/100km each way fairly consistently. My last tank of gas gave me a return of 4.9/100km (48 m/gal US or 57.7 m/gal IMP) on the computer compared to pump calculations of 4.98l/100km. So the computer is close and probably most correct as the filling of the tank is inconsistent from fill-up to fill-up. My tank range is now well over 800 km (500 miles). This is using the Econo Mode driving conservatively at 100kmh on the highway and using Shell V Power gas. I know regular fuel is all that is required but in my last DI engine I used high octane and never had a carbon buildup problem even after 210 000km. Chock it up to Top Tier additives, high octane fuel, or luck, I'm sticking with worked for me ;)

I see no one has addressed your real question, but honestly, I have never seen that screen from your first pic before. Where's it located? How does it know gas price and gallons? But you're right ... if your second pic history is actually past tanks, then yeah why don't the two agree?

The first pic is from the Garmin MPG calculation. I don't know what info the system uses, but it's ridiculously inaccurate. Mine shows a lifetime average of 28 MPG, trip computer shows 39.6. Don't rely on it.

Garmin uses the City and Highway MPG constants as well as gas price, all of which you enter one time. All it knows about gas you use is some attempt to guess highway vs. city times the MPG constant values. It's better than nothing in a car with no trip computer. It's pretty much useless in a car with one.

To reiterate my previous post to this thread, which no one commented on, have no idea why my gas mileage is so low. Feeling a bit frustrated and let down that my average MPG is in the mid 20's. I do seem to get better MPG when on the freeway with cruise control on, but never reach above high 20's. Is this due the a so called "break in period", my driving habits, or the engine?

Sorry to hear that, but unless it's all city you shouldn't be getting that low even during the 600 mile break in ... I got 35 during break in. Gonna be hard for us to help without knowing a lot more ... dealer is probably your best bet. Or experiment with it more. When you're on the highway going 60 to 70 your instantaneous mpg readout should read mid 40's w/o a headwind. I know I wouldn't tolerate mid 20's.

What is your tire pressure? What type of fuel do you use? How hard are you on the throttle?

Tire pressure should be normal, wouldn't the TPM give notice if pressure was off?
Gas is regular grade from Costco.
Perhaps I need to pay more attention to the throttle, the gas pedal seems very sensitive IMO.
