I have a Ktuner V2 for my SI will this work for a Type R

I have a Ktuner V2 for a Civic SI that I bought for the 18 Si that use to have but I traded it for a 2019 Type R a week ago, so will this V2 Ktuner work for the type R? or do I need to buy a different one?

You would have had to unlock the K Tuner from the SI's ECU before the trade in. Then you would have been able to lock it to the Type R's ECU and use that K tuner. The K Tuner can only be locked to one ECU at a time. If you are unable to unlock it now you may have to buy another one.

Pretty sure he would also need to have the ecu "jailbroken"

Just need the ECU unlocked if the unit itself was unlocked from the previous vehicle.
