I know there are many threads on here about aftermarket exhaust mods but I have been reading for over an hour and cannot definitively tell which combo is good for me without paying an outrageous amount.

Current mods- ktuner and AFE cold air intake

What combo would you suggest for someone in there mid-30’s that uses the type-r as a daily driver. If I were driving a muscle car I probably would not mind “loud” but on a 2.0L 4 CYL there is a fine line between satisfying sound and obnoxious teenager show-off noise.

What combo’s would you suggest for someone like myself? I know remus with controller is a nice accommodating option but there are really pricey.

Thoughts?

I have a Milltek Race (unresonanted) Exhaust. From the outside it sounds good, from the inside you can’t really hear much. That is if you want to stay with stock downpipe like me. It’s deep sound and burbles on shifts. It doesn’t drone.

I just installed aFe exhaust and added the res delete. Drones at 2000 to 3500 but in comfort mode not too bad.

So you deleted the center resonator that is about mid vehicle? Didn’t that increase noise and vibration in the cabin (specially rear seats)?

Im 34 and I drive the car M-F on a 50min commute one way. I find that a catless dp matted to milltek full res suits me very well. No drone or raspy note.

Ive been leaning towards a Greddy SP. I daily my R as well and from what I've read it seems like a great exhaust.

I plan on the PRL catted downpipe, their front pipe and the Remus valved exhaust. Can have it OEM quiet 90% of the time and with the push of a button loud and obnoxious when you want it. No other exhaust does it for me

I’m in my 40’s and daily the car. Planning on the HKS Legamax. I’m in the minority here in hating the way the 3 tips look. The HKS also sounds great without being obnoxious. Also considered Greddy but have heard mixed things about drone

IM going with the invidia Q300 price is pretty good including the front pipe.
looks like its just the right amount of noise for daily use.

Depends on how much you want to spend and what sound do you prefer. If I were to spend over 2k, I would go with Remus with valvetronic. It has a nice raspy typical Euro sound to it. I didn't want to spend that much so I went with HKS Legamax. It gives a nice deep growl, not too loud but you know it's there.

This combo sounds interesting. Do you have any videos? Did you consider the partially resonated option at all? Not sure how much the catless dp affects sound but the catback Milltek fully resonated video I remember seeing was pretty quiet.

I like that setup but it is super expensive for the satisfaction I would get from it which is why I am exploring other suggestions.
