Hey guys I just recently got a new 2019 Civic Hatchback Lx. Yes I know it’s a base model, I wanted to know what mods or upgrades should I start off with? Weather interior exterior lighting etc. obviously would want to start off by the cheapest first the progressing to the high price.

Exterior: Replace or wrap sidemarkers (unless you prefer amber). HID (non-retrofit) is next cheapest. You're in SoCal, so window tint is a must. Roof and/or hood wrap if that's what you like. Window visors & various ebay lip kits are available for the base hatch.

Interior: Some people like to vinyl wrap various parts of their consoles to add some flair for cheap. Replace interior bulbs with LEDs, and maybe hook up some foot lighting. If you drive stick, you can replace the shift knob. Steering wheel, aftermarket radio, sound system, and re-upholstered interior.

Performance: KTuner / Hondata is priority one.

K-tuner on a base model civic hatch? Didn’t know that was possible. Would K-Tuner be a problem because my hatch is a CVT not manual.

You could definitely tune a cvt hatch. Gave mine a nice performance boost with just a generic tune. Just don’t tune it with too much boost and wreck your cvt like some of the members here....

Top of the list: Dash cam, windows tint, floor mats (if you don't have them yet), door sill protector, anti-kick guard (I've had low cars but I find myself hitting the 10th gen civic door with my foot more often), charger cable for your phone (you need your phone charged for emergencies).

I would go with wheels and tires first thing if possible. Instantly makes your car look better.

Looks kinda dumb when someone does tons of external mods and have stock wheels.

But you can get a lot of stuff for cheap if you look around.

I also have an LX Hatch but the Canadian one (not sure if any differences) and Ktuner for sure. Also fog light kit either ebay ones or Honda OEM.

Led bulbs. Interior use the sealight pack off amazon it’s like $10 and has enough for your whole interior x2. Low beam headlights get the katanas on amazon. $50 and almost as good as morimotos
