Not sure if anyone has posted this before as I’m kinda new here. So apologies if so but nothing popped up in search. But I got this for my 2019 Type R and I couldn’t be happier. I definitely support this product but in no way get anything from them. I did find a coupon online before I ordered to get 20% off with code “AAA20” The FK8 is “Car2” if you’re browsing their website.

The first Setup was easy and took about 30-45 mins (only needs to happen once) The remote is awesome since I live in the Midwest (Kansas City) and we have thunderstorms and hail constantly and I unfortunately do not own a garage. (not my house so the 55k Buick gets the garage )

I put it on today since the forecast is calling for storms (takes about 6-12 mins to setup every time after the first time) and then I just hit the button and about 10 mins later it’s fully inflated.

Seems like a neat idea for hail prone areas if you have no garage or access to any shelter for your ride. Just walked by a car in Calgary the other day that look like sh_t due to obvious hail damage.

I usually try to park underneath the local hospital's parking deck during bad storms but when I can't I'm nerve wracked.

Learn where some public friendly parking garages are. Pay the random $5-15 for the hour or 2 that you think hail is gonna come. I know they're pretty surprising at times, but do your best in predicting. Hell, park there for the whole 24 hrs if you have to. I'm sure the fee is way less than fixing hail damages. Also worth researching: self car washes, banks with drive thru ATMs, popular gas stations with awnings. At the very least, old neighborhood home with a very fully matured tree saved my butt once.

Great idea. My wife’s brand new car was trashed by hail. Even though I have a PDR shop that miraculously brought it back to new, I’d still rather avoid the hassle.

Once, when I drove a GTI, I was on the way home from work and a sudden freak storm hit with hail. I freaked but started scanning for any kind of shelter. The only thing I could find was a couple of big oak trees and parked under it and hoped the branches wouldn't snap off and cause more damage. Thankfully, I was sparred but ever since then I've mapped my area for covered parking for when another hail storm comes my way. Last month, I did exactly as you posted, and parked one of my cars in a parking garage just to avoid a hail storm. It's cheap insurance.

Ah yes, that's true. Completely overlooked the fact of broken branches. I suppose you are gambling your chances at that point on which gonna hurt your car the most haha.
