Sounds nice! Do you notice drone at or around 2500rpm but disappears before 3k? Seems to be all exhaust that doesn't want to eliminate the drone in that range...
I'm guessing 27Won doesn't come with a metal plate for the sport that sits right under the midpipe.

I'm not sure I would call it "drone" per se, as it doesn't reverberate around the cabin. But yes, the exhaust note is definitely most pronounced around exactly that range. I was paranoid I had an exhaust leak or something but it toned down a bit after break in and I'm used to it now. Not unbearable but noticable at one set highway speed.

From your sound clip, it sounds the same as mine. I don't have the catted dp. But videos and sound clips are hard to gauge.

I thought that may be the case. Maybe a little louder overall/at higher RPMs where there's more exhaust flow? Hard to say without a side by side. Luckily I was more concerned about the performance gain of the DP than its sound :D

How was the install? I just purchased the Si turboback and have never installed an exhaust system before...

I’m tempted to get it professionally done... does that make me lame?

Good purchase! Glad your last thread worked out and you settled on one lol!

Honestly as long as you have the tools, it's surprisingly easy. I'm a bit of a worry wart and considering having someone do it for the piece of mind, but I'm glad I did it myself. It was fun. I've never touched an exhaust system before this.

If you do what I did and PB Blast the downpipe nuts, that's the most important thing. And make sure you have two M10 nuts to remove the lower DP studs from the OE DP. That's the hardest part, the rest is literally just nuts, bolts, and rubber hangers.

If you decide to do it yourself, hit me up if you have any Q's I'm happy to help.

How is the performance now that you have the Downpipe? Do you feel like the turbo is spoiling faster?

Definitely picks up quicker, the more you get on the throttle the better the exhaust sounds. I think a custom tune would really wake up the DP even more, but I'm gonna wait until I'm done throwing bolt-ons at my car before thinking about that.

The system is quite aggressive during cold start-up, especially in my underground parking garage :p
This is what worries me the most because I leave work usually a little before 5 AM and I don't want to be that guy that wakes up everyone that early haha, but I guess it's really unavoidable with any new exhaust systems.

I don't think it's too bad if you're out in the open or underground. If you're starting it up in your own garage, then it might be a problem :p

Then again, I think having the DP makes it significantly louder. You'd be in an even better spot with just the catback

Curious what you had to pay for Canadian customs for the 27Won exhaust? I live in SK and was planning on this exhaust system but do not want to get raped paying a huge customs bill

It was somewhere in the range of 300 CAD if I recall correctly. That's for the full turbo-back, would be less for just the exhaust obviously.
