A new exhaust?

Well, it's been about a month now. After the installation of parts, I can say there's a lot of good, and a bit of let down.

I think it's the exhaust. Going from the stock 3 pipe to the HKS L-Spec 2 pipe.
The good point is I got the exhaust note I wanted. It's audible and it doesn't drown out the cabin with drone. This is just speculation but I think it bottlenecked some of the airflow. I'm considering a new exhaust. 3 pipe ( REMUS or J's Racing ).

The Eventuri CAI kicks ass. You don't need a BOV because the air boost and sound is REAL from the Eventuri.

So who has the best 3 pipe exhaust? Who has seen power gains? It's time to get this right. Something is holding this power back. I shouldn't struggle from 120kph to 200kph. I'm supposed to keep pulling.

A tune would help, that exhaust isn’t hurting anything. The factory isn’t 3 piped it’s just a single pipe that y’s into 2 mufflers and rejoined with at the tips with one in the middle. The exhaust restriction is primarily the downpipe.

Ummm, silly question... have you bothered spending money on a proper tune? Bolt on mods won't give you much unless you actually get it tuned. A downpipe (catless or catted) will allow your entire exhaust system to open up.

You'll notice it pulling from 120-200 when it's tuned for the mods you have. A cooler and full exhaust along with your CAI will have you well on your way to the 300-330HP club and, depending on the tune you go for.
