I do NOT hear the massive boom of detonation ... these two faulking clowns can barely take out the trash but they got the wooosh wooosh down and to me ... it sounds not as "dangerous" as I would have anticipated. Take a look at these Honda Fan Boys (OMG):

Would you be willing to buy into THIS argument?

For $50 bucks and the fact that I CAN retain the stock plastic piece and install quickly (thinking it's a better move than Boomba) ... I am willing to at least give it a try ...CC

I followed through and made the purchase!!! ... I will let you know how it goes ... at least one forum member commented that he has been running the the boomba BOV for over a year with no issue. I will put my good sense on the shelf for a bit and try my hand for once... I mean this car is notorious for this and that ... everyone says the PRL is all you need .. then you read a thread about how the low end was "lost" and car is sluggish ... K Tune and Hondata is the cats meow ... ooooppppssss .... I need a clutch. There is ALWAYS something.

I got a question for some of you guys that may know a little more than me. So, these VTA bov are the ones that are causing issues in some peoples cars. But what about a recirculating bov like how its supposed to be in this car. Technically it would be less harmful towards the car right?

Hey guys, here's a very recent and informative video from Bisimoto (very knowledgeable about cars) regarding specifically BOV's and the 10th Gen Civic SI. Good watch, and enjoy your BOV's ;)
If this is the case, I really do wonder why every tuner on this forum says to avoid those BOVs. I had one installed, from the previous owner, and from what I've read, it causes something wrong where the car's computer thinks that there is air there when there isn't and so it causes the car to run rich?

But this video says otherwise... Says the computer is smart enough to know? Now I don't know who to believe lol. I did like the BOV sound but from what people said on this forum was that it was just sound and in the long run I was hurting the car. D:

Curious if there is hard data that proves BOVs are deleterious to our cars...

Edit: Just kidding. Looks like that video has been addressed. Post #46 is from a reputable tuner on this platform.

Oop even post #2 comes from hondata directly and many others.

That new member has posted the same video in a couple different spots on the forum. Bisi may have knowledge but I trust guys like Derek, Vega, JR, 27WON, Doug, VIT etc. over him any day on the 10th gen. That video really isn't much more than an infomercial for Turbosmart.
