Hello all!

I'm able to find a million videos on changing the shift boot for all 6MT models but none for the CVT. Is it about the same? does anyone have a video of it (my youtube-fu turned up nothing)? Any assistance helps! Thank you in advanced!

Unfortunately, that video only shows the knob change, I'd like to switch out the boot from that ugly leather (pleather?) to something custom! I was able to get an idea from watching videos with manual shifters but I know that it's definitely different.

Ever figure out a solution? Considering doing my wife's CVT boot if I can find some guide without going at it blind and screwing something up.

He got back to me but explained that he did not record it, unfortunately, but he shared a link and a small explanation:

When you get down to the CTR part, you'll get a general idea of what needs to be done."

The thread has a copy of the PDF for the illuminated console kit which is very helpful. I will be using to try to do the change this weekend (hopefully!)

Unfortunately, I'm in NoVa but I appreciate the offer. I found a video that may prove handy so I'm going to attempt it this weekend. It doesn't look difficult at all, I'm just always hesitant since I'm paranoid of breaking something or doing something ireversable :D:D

The video I'm talking is this one:

Around 2:30, he talks about the console removal and such.

That should work, I used the Acuity video which was about the same. It should only be a couple of panels to get to the shift panel. Tape the infotainment off and wedge a tool underneath to get that top clip off, that is the hardest part.
