Porsche Macan GTS or Panamera GTS. I didn't see anything suggesting a budget restriction ;)

Kinda depends on what you're looking for and what your budget is.

I still dream of getting a Type R everyday, can't imagine anything else (in the 35k range) I'd rather own. But If I ever win the lotto, a McLaren 720s would do nicely.

If I were to leave the Si scene, I'd probably first check out a lightly used Lexus RC 350 F Sport. I'd be really concerned about losing a MT and getting a heavier car, but maybe driving it would change my mind. If a sedan is needed, IS 350 F Sport would be where I'd look.

If I decided I needed a MT for fun, I'd probably look for a $10k-$12k daily and then a $15k-20k Trans Am from 2001-2002. I've wanted one for the longest time, but that can't be a daily at nearly 20 years old.

Probably a midsize pickup truck. (Tacoma/Gladiator)
Florida Legislators are moving a bill that is getting lots of votes. Isn't final yet but this bill will make it more difficult to own a sport car in FL.

Basically police can stop and arrest you if they believe you were racing. They don't to witness the event.
This is very dangerous because it gives the officer too much power. Just imagine this typical scenario. You are on a traffic light on front on a two or more lane road. The guy on your side is a gear head with a very loud car and start reving up and making a lot of noise. Light turns green and you just move as normally you do but the gear head goes all the way in.
A police far away on the other way can see two sport cars moving and making a lot of noise.
This new law will give him the power to give you a bad day because he believed that you were racing.

For this reason Im against it and if this law became a reality I will just get a truck and forget about everything related to sport cars.

I am [im]patiently waiting to see the new Acura TLX Type-S they are promising. I like sleepers, you know? I want to blend into the crowd while having more fun than everyone around me. That twin turbo V6 should be interesting, and Acura has been pretty clear about the A-Spec intentionally being an aesthetic package because they weren't willing to dilute the Type-S name and wanted to wait until they were ready to launch something that lived up to the title before resurrecting it.

A lightly used second generation Honda Ridgeline. I got a 2008 as a beater last year for yardwork/hauling bicycles/bad weather/moving the dog around. I've ended up use it more than the Si...

If I had to commute to work by car, things would be different as I couldn't live with that fuel economy. Luckily my office is close enough that I just bike most days. That's lately meant that the Si only gets driven maybe once a week.

Assuming you're looking for car in the same class, GTI/GLI are amazing bang for the buck. Step up in power from the Si, better interior, all around an upgrade. Also if you don't need 4 doors, there are plenty of lightly used M235i/M240i's available on the market for pretty cheap, you'll get a turbocharged inline 6 that is a massive upgrade over the Si and also able to make way more power with some mods, just a thought. Or even a BMW 335i/340i if you need 4 doors.

If I was working within the same budget (ish) I would probably first think about the Accord Sport 2.0T 6MT. If I was looking to break Honda ranks I may look at a CPO TLX, 3 series or C class.
