Anyone used Tux Mats? Any feedback?
Canadian brand for floor mats - looks much nicer and little cheaper than WeatherTech. Inclining towards buying them, so wanted to ask fellow Canadian CivicXers before biting the bullet...

Several on here are running them. Pop it in the search box and you should see them posted.

I was thinking between tux and Findway mats (worst name ever)... Some on RFD said they had to tuck their pants into their socks, else they'd absorb the melted accumulation... I don't know... there seem to be a fair number of negative comments to each floor mat type...

I kind of didn't like the hard rubber look of the tux mats... I ended up going with Findway... Even if they're not too good, they were reasonably priced. They don't look like all weather mats, but they are dual layered, bottom being the impenetrable layer.

They are local as well (Vic Park / 16th). The guy was nice.. he let me take them out and try them in the car before buying. He didn't even follow me outside, I could have just drove off with them. (lol, not that I would, of course).

One guy on rfd said they layers separated after a year, but others have claimed they are good for years. I figured I'd give em a go... My wife didn't believe they were all-season/winter mats... :) we'll see at the end of the season.... which is hopefully soon.....

Tuxmat are the best I've ever had, would definitely recommend. They leave zero exposed carpet to any salt exposure and come with a variety of clips to secure to the car's garnishes. They fit so perfect and tight though that I didn't need to use any of the clips.

+1 for Tuxmat
I use them in my '18 Hatchback since new and I'm really happy with them.
I went straight to their office in the GTA and saw them first hand hefore purchase. I'd have to think ordering them from Amazon.ca with free shipping is the way to go if you are not near their home office location.
Good luck!

I have them since 2017! Good Canadian product! I have an early version. The driver side protection plate is not heavy duty but they change it in the new model. You can see my photos and review searching my name

have them in my civic. very happy with them. bought them through costco at a bit of a discount.. easy to install, fit like a racing glove.

mine must be newer style, the rubber foot plate covers 'almost' all 3 pedals

Ive got the full set, front and rears and I have to say the quality of these far surpasses that of WeatherTech. Ive had WeatherTech for years now and those are good floor mats. These not only look better but look to fit nicer. Ill have to really give a better review as soon as I install them, but from what I've seen it was good enough for me to drop cash on them. No more WeatherTech for me......Mine are also a newer model like DamonS as the foot plate is huge and well made

Love to see a photo showing your rubber foot plate to know how much larger it is than original.
That is the only issue I've had with mine is that the foot plate loosened on mine and I had to tack it down with some adhesive. 2 minute fix but it makes me curious how much larger the new style is. If you can find the time to post a pic that'd sure be swell!
Cheers and TuxMat for the win!

I've got 3 sets of Findway mats - x2 CRVs (a '16 and a new '19) and I plan on ordering a set for my Si as well. They look a lot more factory than anything else I've seen thus far and I've had no issues with them. Nice to see some Canadian companies make some solid products either way!

The plastic part on these mats will eventually come off. To be expected for the price you pay though.

Ya fair enough. I noticed that actually when cleaning them after trading in the '16 for our '19. They would have lasted the year had we actually kept the car. But you're 100% right there - if you keep your vehicles for 5+ years then ya maybe not the best way to go. They do look very factory though. Not so industrial like a WeatherTech or other full rubber mat.

After 2 years of Canadian hard winter....the mats are not holding good...I would consider this as light duty mats only... I'll be looking for something else for next winter...

The rivets let water leak and...well...not good!

Tuxmat 2 years after

My Tuxmats have held up really well since I installed them late November 2018. I am able to get 15% off for anyone interested in Southern Ontario :)
